is bose sounddoc compatible with apple photoipod?

its compatable with all ipods.
Apple's website says it's not compatible, but others (see the review of the sounddock @ ipodlounge.com) say that it's a very tight fit but that it works.

i have 2 20's and a photo. it comes with different dock pieces that you can change on the speaker. my photoipod is in there right now.
it's a 40gb photo iPod, right?
