I hope I'm able to do this in the forum...

I searched around to find some of the handbags and what they retail for at eluxury, or other sites.

dang, figures my g/f wants the kate spade or coach! Is there a way to get cash of some sort from the site? Prolly not, just thought i read someone getting a check...

No cash option, although, I wish they would just give you the purse or a $250 gc to the retailer (Coach, etc.) I picked the Coach, but I'm starting to second guess since I got like 6 referrals (1 extra) and I'm only getting $138 - though it is free. Hmmmmm - what to do!

Get the most expensive handbag, then sell it on eBay.

agree re ebay the LV, i don't know why everyone is ordering the least expensive bag. D

It's very sexist how the Gratis site specifically targeting women has a much lower average gift value than other sites. Gratis should change this.

The required # of referrals is 5, same as the ipod. So some of the purses are below a 5 ref. retail value. )

ipod shuffle = $150/3 = 50/refreral
photo ipod = $499/10 = $50/referral
ipod 20gb = $299/5referrals = $60 per referral

but

handbag avg value is about $160 or so = $30/referral

etc...

I really don't think it's fair.

damn, i chose the stupid LV

for a couple of the choices

the LV retails for $245
the Fendi retails for $645 and is sold online at a low of $250+
the fendi sells on ebay for $300 as does the LV

so if the fendi does sell for around 300 i think that evens out the ref value required, i hafta do this for my sis so if your listed under the good trade list thread pm or aim me, laterz

i picked hte coach and they sent a 250$ coach gift card.

The Fendi bag goes for under $200 on eBay - look under the completed listings to see a better idea of how much people will pay for it.

The authentic LV pochette (NOT the knock-offs) also goes for $100-$160 on most completed auctions; a few have gone for a little under $200.

Also, remember that eBay is a highly fluxuating market - if a bunch of people start listing the bags from freehandbags, the price is going to go down considerably...

why did they send a gift card instead? do all the free sites do that?

It's only for freehandbags.com I think. So far I haven't received a gift card instead of the actual product on any of the rest.
