i got that same thing too. what do you think the odds are that it is legit? i'm thinking about 20% chance it is actually sent out by then.

I wouldn't doubt it. That date is a little less than a month away. They sent me my gift certificate a week ahead of their own estimate. Freepay is getting back on track and getting everythign settled with past customers as soon as possible deifinately seems to be a priority to them right now. Kudos to them and good luck to you. It'd be nice to get an 80 GB Video but I guess my 30 GB Video will have to do for now. D

I went STV on 9/13/06... and nothing has changed since. CS says "please be advised that an order has been placed on your behalf, etc. etc." but never stated anything about 9/23 as an estimated ship date and/or 10/21/06.

Hopefully the 80GB iPod comes and hopefully something changes soon. I'd love nothing more than to be done with this particular site. ?

Still nothing in regards to an estimated ship date... I'm just hoping it randomly changes to "Shipped" sometime soon -- it looks like a lot of the other people in my timeframe have gone shipped at this point.

I just opened ANOTHER support ticket with them asking about shipping times. I don't know why I even bother though. This is my 5th or 6th time asking and all I get is the canned response. Interestingly though, this time I pointed out that their canned response says that they are experiencing delays of "up to 90 days". I asked them if they are now going to change that to 120+ days since they're well over 90 days for many of us.

So they appear to have submitted an order on my behalf, but nothing has changed on the account for 2 weeks now, bringing the grand total to 26 weeks since I sent for approval. 6 1/2 months. Incredible. roll

I went to STV however, Im being asked to chose over 60gb black or white ipod! I thought we were getting the new ipod with 80gb

They'll most likely upgrade you. I'd open a support ticket just to make sure though.
