Getting ready for my iPod on Thursday! (with hopeful comp-usa switch!)

Anyway for the past few weeks i've been trying to organize my library (messed up tags/filenames etc) and I have been using iTunes...it is a pain! I also use MoodLogic a lot but it has become a bit limited compared to others...

Anyway tonite I found Media Center from jriver (www.jriver.com) and man I am AMAZED...honestly its like iTunes on steriods...Does anyone else use this program or have any other suggestions for organizing and IPod synching?

I think Media Player 9/10 is hands down the best program for music library organization.

Don't see how iTunes is a pain. I've found it to be very simple to organize and import everything.

MP3-Tag Studio is an excellent program.

The free AND uncrippled version comes compiled with an ad banner that never changes, so it's not spyware or anything - I'm positive on this one. The application itself lets you maniuplate single tags, and it also allows mass/batch tagging. You can also tag files based on filename (so if you rip your MP3s as Artist - Title.mp3 it will put the correct Artist and Title in the tag) AND rename all your mp3 based on tags (which I found immensely useful).

Anapod Explorer has a feature that allows direct tag editing as well as mass/batch tagging, but I would recommending using MP3-Tag Studio with your music on your computer, before you upload it to the iPod.

http//www.musicbrainz.org I think is really nice. It connects to an online metabase to compare your music to and then changes the file name, and id tags to what it should be. It was very sucessful with my music.

Tag & Rename is great, but not free.
