There's actually a pic somewhere arount here of a 40gb HPod and the wheel is darker...or at least looks like that

the wheels on the ipod are dark, i was quoting that from the sticky in this forum.

the wheels on ALL fourth gen ipods are gray. every last one of them. HP or Apple. the HP wheels are not dark BROWN, as the picture on eCost.com would suggest.

oh ok, ithought someone was saying they werent dark gray

However, looking at pics posted here of received HPs, the wheel's no different. After a serious backlash against the non-white wheel to begin with, I can't believe they'd go and make it even darker with the HP revision.

I was looking at my friends ipod (apple) the wheel looks darker than the one in that ipod picture but lighter than the hpod one. I'm guessing the lighting was different when they took those pics and thats why they look different.
