Main Entry con·ga line
Pronunciation 'kä[ng]-g& l(eye)ne
Function noun
Etymology Made by some idiot who wanted refferals and screw other people. Called conga because the guy had just finished playing "donky conga"
1 A conga line is a line which people get their refferals completed. It works by someone completing an offer from the original person. Then four more people do that, and then the second guy's link goes up. Then five more people have to complete offers using that guy's link. If you add it up a conga line is pointless, and only profits the person that started it.
2 A line that is stupid.

Conga lines... they're just like those "buy some random CD and get a free Ipod/Cell Phone as a gift" matrix sites. They only benefit maybe the first few people and if your #50 or something you aint getting nothing.

How about a line where you just have each person in front only get 1 credit, rather than 5.

That way everyone gets a credit and everyone is 1/5 the way there...

I think that is much better.

l DO I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The rotate people, the top roatates to the bottom and 2nd place moves to the top and it keeps rotating like that and eventually the 1st person in line in the beginning makes it back to the top and so on

Lines keep the order the same - the first person on the list is always the first person.

Circles just change it around. For instance, if I started a line, I would always be first and get all the referalls, then the second group, and so on. So it'd always be in one order, like this

Me
Bob
Joe
John
Jack

If I started a [b8943240aff]circle[/b8943240aff] it would change periodically (I don't know how they decide when to change it, maybe after each offer?). So it might start like above, but then it would change to

Bob
Joe
John
Jack
[b8943240aff]Me[/b8943240aff]

and then

Joe
John
Jack
Me
[b8943240aff]Bob[/b8943240aff]

And so on. Get it?

A circle pulls referrals randomly from a group of several referrals. the longer you are on the circle the more your referral will get pulled(more weight it has) . Say you signed up 2months ago the more likely you referral will be on top then someone that signed up a week ago. But the great thing about circles is that they rotate referrals unlike lines where it usually benefits the first few people on the line. Hope that helps!

its random thats the main thing so its more fair then a line because if you are at the bottom of a line your chance getting referrals isnt very good

yeah, only stroid got it right it's random. Meaning that if you just got on a circle 5 minutes ago you still might be the one getting the next referral.

[bbcbd9000ef]However[/bbcbd9000ef] the randomness is weighted by two factors 1) for how long you've been on the circle, 2) how many referrals the circle already got you.

In other words, if you've been waiting on a circle for a while you have more chance to get your link displayed than the guy who got on the circle 5 mins. ago. If you didn't get a referral yet, you have more chance to get the next one than the guy who joined same time as you but already got one.

The bottom line is, no matter how long you've been on the circle and how many referral you already got, your chance to get your referral link displayed is always greater than zero.

that's how a true conga circle works (but actually know only one site that has them ;))

PM me for my site...it's a legit conga circle site that won't be going down until December 2005 (have to renew hosting and domain then).

Me and Dave are currently making a very powerful circle script; scripting the User CP as of now for users to see who signed up for them and what offer they did, ect.

So PM me if you'd like the link. )

I'm surprised it took so long to see someone to try and copy what we've done. It was definitely expected. I took it as a sign of the original congacircle's great success )

I'd be curious to see that script running whenever it's up one should never neglect his children lol
