i see them so much...."get an ipod for FREE!" "$5 for ipod, complete few offers, follow link"... and its simply their freeipods.com referral link. does that even work? i mean, ebay gets viewed alot by alot of people, but do any of them actually get their 5 referrals done that way?

Yeah it works my friend did that for a flip up dvd player for his car. But he actually thoughthe was getting it, they mailed him a letter which gave him a link to a website where he would be in a matrix atleast i think thats what it was called.

Well, I tried it with photoipods, and I didn't even get any yellows, haha.
But I believe that sometimes some people might get lucky and get their refs done, however, since there are SO many auctions for a FREE iPod and a FREE photoiPod its become all about luck.

What you could do without getting any warnings is this
Say.....you're tryin to get an X800 from pctech4free.com and you need 9 refs. On eBay, you post 9-15 (extra just in case) auctions for an actual guide (you gotta make the guide) to get a free X800. If people buy it, they're obviously gonna do it (wouldn't make sense to buy a guide and then not use it). This way, you get moolah (prolly only a buck), not get banned from eBay, and get your refs!
Also, instead of a guide, you could sell a link. Anyway you think is fit.
BTW, I just thought up this idea during a dream last night because I'm so effin desperate for refs for that x800! Imma try it when I get home from vacation

I just tried this and only got one sign up. Can anyone throw some tips on this towards me.
I noticed some people just post their referral link right in the description and tell people not to bid. They are usually bid up to like 60+ dollars ... ha ha.
I had mine setup so that you would have to pay .99 cents for the info to get it, I made 1.32$ (

i had my link on ebay for a couple days, got an email today that it had been taken off. my account is not suspended, and they refunded all my fees. i had my freeipods.com link until i got about 15 referrals on that, and then i changed the link to my mp3players4free.com link. so yea. im not complaining ;)

all the ebay postings are going to create a bad rap with the "free stuff" sites. they may even start cracking down and start cancelling accounts. I can see how they can get annoyed with so many bad auctions going on.

Good point but at the same time the more advertising they get the more money they will make. say you get 30 greens from ebay the free sites companies make way more money then just getting 5 or 10 greens from you. so therefore they may actually enjoy the increased advertising.

i have been using this method since november of '03, and i started with www.freevideogames.com selling the info for $4.50 a pop about 200 times
$4.50 for an email is a nice profit margin

If you guys have read this discussion it should be clear that eBay is no longer an efficient method. Not only has eBay taken action against those "selling" information on free offers, Gratis and several other free offer networks are now actively seeking those users and placing their account on hold. Basically...time to be a bit more creative ladies.
