Who's been waiting the longest?

Mine's been in progress since 8/6 [ And I just switched today. It breaks my heart to see people that receive it when they did it so much later than I did..

As you can see i've been "sent to vendor" since 8/12. I switched to hPod option today as well.

lol, well i kinda did my math, so if ppl that were 8/4 already recieved theirs a couple weeks ago, so that means it takes about 1 and a half months for the ipod to come, but since they added the HPs ALOT of ppl switched, so that will clear up alot of space and im hoping ill get my ipod with in a month maybe month a half...

i'm an 8/6 too. zatch no need for the smart comments he's just expressing his dissapointment in the late shipment of his ipod.

I thought switching to the HP just puts us into two lines, for either one that's available first?

yeah -- I think what he is saying is that the hPods seem to be going out every day now. Since the hPod peeps are on both lists, their name get crossed off the iPod list therefore making the iPod list shorter. So, he will get his sooner. It makes sense. He may have to wait longer than someone who orders an hPod today. But if there were no hPod option he would most likely have to wait even longer.

for hpod its first click first send but for the ipods its still who went to IP3 first if their are any in stock.

no if u switched to HP then that means they cancel your order for the apple ipod, becouse if u were in 2 lines then u could be able to get 2 ipods, for example your HP ships and your apple ships 2 days later or something like that, and i dont think gratis would wanna take a risk like that, plus it says SWITCH to the HP ipod. so i really think there 2 different lines...

I ordered on 8/6, and i'm an 8/10er.

I made the HP switch last night, and I'll be watching the mail this week.

Also, i had 15 completed referrals, so I can debunk the rumor that more greens=faster shipment.

It won't show up right now but I promise it says that. It's in the mouse over before you press the button to accept the hPod option. Since I've already accepted the option it no longer appears on the screen for me.

Can someone out there who has NOT taken the hPod option take a screengrab and post to show.

I just switched today and I am 100% sure that it says you will get either hPod or iPod. Which ever they can send first.

because, you know, the two models differ so much.

For the average hipster, it all balances out. You have another corporate logo tacked onto the back of the unit, but you also are one of the first to have it. Sort of win/lose.

and disastirousmurmur, your "y" and "o" keys are getting lonely.

i'm gonna try to do the 40GB switch when i get it anyway, so it really don't matter if I get hp or not as all stores around me seem to carry both...

the big difference is if you use a mac... HP support is useless to you... they don't give tech support to macs

nah HP puts in their own harddrive, and thats the only reason i dont want, my friend bought an HP computer and after a year the warranty ended on the second day or so his hard drive and flopy died, so umm yea.

My bro has an HP computer and even though I will never ever buy HP/Compaq/Sony/Dell computers, the HP is very very stable IMO.. it's been running win98se for about 6 years now with no format, it has never had any hardware problems.

Another also Yes, "switching" to the hp ipod puts you in TWO lines. I don't know how many times I've read that on this forum, but people still don't seem to grasp that concept. They will ship out whatever is available first to you, but if you switched to the hp later, then you're on the hp line later. But you're still kept on the apple line in case it starts shipping out again.

ive been waiting since 8/6, and i plan on whining like a little bitch until i get my ipod. hopefully this is my week.
