Well I finally went STV today, after waiting for about 2 weeks...
Guess that means I get an 80 gig hard drive and a CD Burner upgrade... I wish I could get a P4 instead of a celeron, maybe Ill get the computer and see if Dell will let me pay for an upgrade....

how do you know what you get upgraded? you can just upgrade your cpu yourself...

I looked at todays special and thats what it was so Im assuming thats what they ordered... Anyways if I upgrade myself then I have to pay for a new chip, and Im still stuck with the celeron... If I have dell upgrade it would be cheaper.... The price on their site to upgrade is only like 40 dollars...

I just started another topic, and then deleted it, because I saw this one.
I too am Sent to Vendor. I ordered on 9/2.
Didn't see anythingon Dell's website about the HD upgrade, but did see the 48X burner...

I'm a 9/2 and I went "Sent to Vendor" today as well. Same thing -- Dell Dimension 2400.
Looks like we'll hopefully be getting some of these upgrades...nice. lol

what makes you guys think that if they ordered today then it will include the upgrades? I think gratis gets a different deal since they order in big lots. Also, that means that when they order again lets say in a week from now its gonna be a different upgrade so not everyone is gonna get the same PC? I think gratis will give the same PC for everyone except the ones before 9/8 that will get the P4. Anyways it will be nice to get those free upgrades
