The REAL reason some people wait 3 weeks for their IPOD

well as you notice,

Gratis chooses the shipping method to you when you place your order.

This can be either DHL or UPS.

Those fortunate to have DHL will get their ipod order processed in 1 day, STV in about another day, and finally sent to you and shipping date would be 4 days later.


BUT Those who unfortunately get stuck with UPS, they will have to wait 10 Business days. UPS is very slow when it comes to delivering packages. I would say they are the worst. I personally ship fed-ex. This is why I will not be getting my IPOD next week. I will probably not see my IPOD until mid-january.

well I don't want to be harsh, but what is the point of this post? Also if you have read other people's posts (read before post) you would see that things have been switched to DHL. People want instant gratification, all the time. Just chill out, remember what Gratis is doing for you! giving an ipod to anyone who is willing to take a little time. These forums are for questions about how to do things, or celebrate your new ipod, not to complain about things that happen to the majority of us. Maybe you should write Gratis about how much you absolutely love Fed-Ex, they are quite good at listening and responding to peoples complaints.

jesus christ - seriously. I've been on and off hold all semester. I'm just glad I'm getting a free ipod in the long run. Hopefully it'll be here tomorrow!

gratis doesn't choose which shipper ships, they choose the vendor, who chooses the shipping.

yeah same here. I ordered mine and got processed in like a day and got my ipod less than 2 weeks after I ordered, and it arrived via FedEx. It just depends on the vendor.

I ordered my FM transmitter from thinkgeek (I got one for my boyfriend too) and not knowing anything about DHL, I figured I wouldn't take a chance of it not getting to my place on time for his birthday. Well, I paid for 2nd day shipping. It showed up the day after the 2nd day. I had to call and ask where the hell my package was (I was actually much nicer on the phone) and the woman explained that they were short a few drivers, blah blah blah.

That's fine and well, but I paid $13 ( oops ) to get the package there on time and it wasn't. Blah! Needless to say, I won't be voluntarily using DHL anytime soon.

if dhl shipped a day late, you should complain to them saying it was important cargo and that you want the shipping free

I did do that, and I had to contact that company I ordered from to get it back (since they're the ones who actually charged my cc). It was an ordeal..for $13! lol

true, depends how much you care about shipping being 1 day late
