How do you guys know if your date has been rescheduled/changed if your account doesnt say shipped yet.. do you contact eCost or UPS?

if your UPS ship date has been rescheduled, you need to call UPS. eCost has no control once the item has actually been shipped. If your ship date has been rescheduled and you have a VALID reason why it must be shipped on the original date, UPS may or may not ship it when you want. However, if you just don't want to wait an extra two days, I doubt they'll switch it. Gratis is shipping these using the cheapest shipping method available, so UPS will be less willing to accomodate you.

No I was wondering how you can find those things out without a tracking number from Gratis.

There was a little tracking number brute force thing going on before the first big hPod shipment, but that project is dead and just about buried. There is no legal way to get information from UPS without a tracking number. eCost will not release information about orders that do not have YOUR name in the billing information. Gratis of course won't tell you anything because they have too much shit to deal with as it is.
Just be patient.
