Hi, I'm new to this free ipod thing, and I don't think it's a scam (judging by all the people who DID get a free ipod), but i went to the free ipod website, created an account, and was prompted to select an offer to participate in. The problem is that all of the offers on the site either cost money or required a credit card number (I think all of them may have cost money). I thought lots of people signed up for FREE offers that they were able to easily cancel later. If anyone can help me, please reply. Thanks.

OK, I understand they'll need a credit card, but is this really free? Are any of the offers free?

You can always try to cancel, then it'll ask you to stay a month longer for free and just do that. Then cancel.

Well.... It wasn't me that did it. I heard on this board that someone was able to extend their trial by a month for free. I'm no sure how. So i guess my previous post could be wrong.

PeoplePC is cheap ($5.47), just cancel if you don't like it.

You can use your checking account debit card with some offers as well. (Not all)
