I didn't want to post in the account help area yet because I'm going to e-mail gratis again, but can anyone tell me if this makes sense to them.

I had 6 referrals, they decided some weren't unique, so I sent them an e-mail. This doesn't seem too uncommon around here. This is the response i got back

"Of your six referrals, we find only one has proven to work through our web site and obtain an offer. The fact that all five other referrals, and your own account, had to obtain offer credit manually is a statistical anamoly. This account will remain on hold."

Does this make any sense?!!?! I don't even get what it's saying. So somehow, even though they all showed up on my status page etc, mine and 5 other referrals don't count at all? And what does "had to obtain offer credit manually" supposed to mean. Everyone's credit showed up on my status page by itself.

I'm kinda ticked off right now.....

I'm not sure what they mean by "obtain offer credit manually" but I can tell you that "statistical anamoly" just means that based on statistical analysis...your situation is "unnatural" (this does not mean it is not possible, but VERY unlikely). Hope I could be of some help to you...be sure to keep us posted if you find out what they meant by "obtain offer credit manually."

I would interpret "obtain offer credit manually" as meaning that 5 of your referrals had to contact Gratis to be credited for their offers manually, as opposed to receiving credit automatically after completing an offer.

that's how I interpreted it as well. Only thing is, I know that none of my referrals had to do this. Since they included me in this list too, i definitely know this didn't happen.

The other thing I find great is that a synonym for anomaly is "glitch", so I'm sort of on hold because of a glitch on their part.

The bright side is....... they're getting faster at customer support, I'm getting 1 day responses now.

Well, I figured I would keep people updated since it was such a random bogus message they sent me. However......

They took me off hold, gave me all of my referrals, and apologized. This is the reply i got

"We apologize for the error. In reviewing your account again we do find that you were correct-- all referrals and your account did receive credit automatically upon completing orders. We have taken the time to approve your referral network and you are free to place an order. Once again, we are sorry for the error in this case!"

I am so happy.

And they are getting a lot better in customer service. i got my reply and my account fixed within a couple hours of sending them a message.
