Strange... I just got a "test email=" from email=adamb@gratisinternet.comadamb@gratisinternet.com" from email=adamb@gratisinternet.comadamb@gratisinternet.com/email. That's the subject line, and all that is in the body is text saying "This is a test email"...

Got it too, although I only got one -- not one for each site. At least not yet.

Oooh, a web bug. Testing for active e-mail addresses, perhaps? Although many people disable image links n their e-mails, so that's not a reliable test.

yep, I just got one too. I almost deleted it, but noticed it was from gratis. would this be a good thing or a sign that we're suspected of fraud?

All of them ended up in my junk mail folder, but I only noticed them because my blackberry showed them (it doesn't move them out of the inbox on my bb).
It was an error.
Please accept our apologies.

I would accept an apology with the phrase "you've been approved" in it. ;)

The last time Jake said they had a glitch, it was on the 360's site when really they were buying time to check the music now offer.....

This is not the same.
The IT guys turned on the automatic mailer and for some reason, it started sending out these test emails.
It was a minor error - nothing more.

punish them by having them open approval forms and do some data entry!

i think i did a triple-take on that before I almost deleted it with 20 other spam mails. Good thing for FIG, I would have gone crazy figuring out what that was... we really wouldn't mind our approvals though D

Yea for some reason Freepay got on my yahoo account spam list and I can't get them off.
It'd be nice to see some signs of life as I wait for approval >.<

That's weird though... why would it be from gratis if you are now freepay?
And yea, I don't care if I get one of those emails every day... find those IT guys and put them at a desk processing approval forms before they fix the email system P
