How many shipped?

Got into a discussion wiht someone on another messageboard who mentioned the unsustainability of a pyramid scheme--thats trivial from a mathematic standpoint, but also he was musing about the total number of ipods and other goodies gratis has shipped out to people and suspected it was under a thousand..a.nyone have any numbers on this or have at least an estimate?

Last published number from Gratis was $4,000,000 worth just from them.....

Also, these incentive programs are not exactly a pyramid scheme, people just assume they are because they require you to get referrals.

Technically they're not, but the growth rate is similar to one, so for the poitn of this discussion...

They brag having given away $4 million worth of total merchandise, not just iPods.

They made the statement during the month of, or before November...so the figure should be much much higher by now )

whats so bad about pyramid schemes anyways? i dont get it.

99% of all pyramid schemes in the history of the world are scams one way or the other.



BTW I emailed the gratisnetwork marketing rep and someone got back to me saying that as best he could find out, Gratis had shipped over 8000 ipods to date.

pyramid schemes are different from pyramid scams. they work the exact same, only one is legit, can you guess which?
