if its really scratched, and you dont mind waiting about another week and a half, send it in to apple and say it came scratched

Just look in the FAQ portion, click into the "My Issue is About My Current Account Status" and then from there, click into the "I Still Have A Question And Would Like To Contact Customer Service" section.

This is what I would do. Some may consider it unethical but you recieved a brand NEW ipod from apple, it wasn't used or anything.. so Go to bestbuy. Buy one. swap, and return. Then tell them you're returning it because the screen is scratched so they don't put it back on the shelf. They'll send it off to apple to get it fixed and you wont have to worry about dealing with apple's customer service and long wait time

Why does everyone assume there's an Apple store in every city? They're not like Wal-Marts.

Oldfashionedhussy

we have an apple store here
we do not have a wall-mart here

you're right ;)

It's still only 30$ for an Ipod. I would be happy anyway.

I used to work at bestbuy, they are supposed to look at the serial number of the item before allowing you to return it. Sometimes they don't look though.
