K um why was I banned from the IRC channel? I was just going see if I could give away some more of my stupid Gmail invites...

If it makes you feel anybetter, I know alot of people, including myself, get banned the second they join the irc channel.

Meh...i was actually helping people on the fucking thing. at least it doesn't ban by IP, just username, but I LIKE my username and now I can't use it.
Who the fuck doesn't like gmail anyhow? All I wanted to do was get rid of all my invites.

Allow me to explain.
While it seems unjust when you join the channel and try to give away gmail invites and get banned, you have to understand the perspective of us who are in there all the time. People CONSTANTLY come in and say, "I'll give a gmail invite to anyone who signs up under me".
Also, I am sorry but due to intense and repeated ass-hattery, all users from AOL, Australia, New Zealand, and a few other countries are automatically banned.

The "GMail Invite" ban is only 120 seconds long. You shouldn't need an unban.

Login to chatchannel and type /whois username
It'll say username is (hostname is here)

well i dont get an error, it signs in for like 0.183 of a second then goes back to the login screen and at the bottom it says connection to (chatchannel.hub.org, or w/e the network is ) closed.

Don't use the Java client then. http//www.mirc.com <-- go there and download mirc, run it, put in your info, hit OK, then type /server chatchannel.org6666 and then see if it works.

youre not allowed on chatchannel.org irc servers
you had to of done something to get akilled, because you dont get akilled for no reason.

Thats a bigger deal than being banned from the chan, you're off the network, apparently you DID spam otherwise an IRCop wouldn't have taken you down, don't know what you can do about that, its a bigger issue than begging the ops to let you back on

BAhahhaa, that server is screwed. The only channel i go to on that network is #freeipods and i was banned for 2 min for givin away gmail invites.

Maybe some stinky spammer who has the same IP range as you was spamming the server and because you also have the IP range, you're in that ban too?
I know that happened to me once on some channel (unrelated to freeipods) I had never visited before because they likely banned my ISP (or IP range?) and my ISP is very popular over here.

inferno it's possible you were akilled for spam if you repeatedly said soemthing like, "I'll give a gmail invite if you sign up under me!"

i just need some referals for my flatscreen, and im not like that, i dont bribe people, i was just givin out gmail invites cause i have over 20. Also I live in Canada so its unlikely somebody else with my ip addy was spammin that network but somebody here pmed me that also lives in canada and told me that the isp that we have sometimes gets banned from that network for no reason. I hope they fix that if its true.
