my pod was dropped off today at noon at my apartment.
i checked online to see if it had shipped yet (i had gotten jaded and hadn't checked in a few days).
i almost shit my pants when i saw that it had shipped on the 2nd.
I almost shit my pants again when i saw on DHL's site that it had been delivered to my apt already!!
however.
it was not there.
no one at my apt knows about it.
i called DHL. they swore it was delivered, at 1208pm.
the bitch left it leaning up against my apt. front door.
my conclusion? stolen.
thanks a lot dhl.
now I have to file a missing item to e fulfillment in MI, who apparently is who employed DHL to deliver my pod. IF they believe me, they will send another and file a claim with DHL. i'm skeptical that they'll buy it.
i'm so mad. months of hard work down the drain...

they didnt leave mine at my apartment...they left a note saying they missed me and that a signature was required. If a sig was required then DHL should not have just left it, so it is there fault.

Generally, shippers are smart enough not to leave packages in high traffic areas such as apartments..

Over the summer I purchased an iBook from someone on ebay. I don't remember if I ever got a tracking number, but I didn't know exactly when it was going to get here. So it was Saturday morning and my roommate and I were leaving to go play racquetball. Sitting in front of my door was my iBook, in the box that has the GIANT picture of the laptop on the side of it. I do live in a building where you have to have a Key to get in the security door downstairs. But, come on! Leaving a box with a laptop picture on the side of it, in front of someone's door... And here's the killer thing, I was home the whole time. I didn't get a knock or anything. Damn shippers...

Congratulations! I've always had good luck with shippers, hopefully this continues. However, I am a college student so I have to have it mailed to my apartment (about 80 miles from here). My sister lives there with my two nephews...but she works and they go to school...so if it gets left outside the door I should be getting kicked in the nuts pretty hard (

DHL didn't impress me today.
I too live in an apt... I was home, door shut... no way for the driver to know I was there.
"Knock, Knock".... i open the door & the box is sitting at my doorstep in, and the driver was already driving off. WTF!?! What if I wasn't home? I rec'd many FedEX & UPS deliveries... and every one of them is waiting in the office in the event I wasn't there for delivery... DHL just sets it down & drives off?

dhl sent my package to utah from michigan and i have yet to see a status update yet. i called them today and they said there is a big delivery hub there in utah. this makes sense but now my package wont be here til wednesday at the earliest. has everyone else from october gotten their ipods but me? my friends are starting to pick at me about this fucking thing

Yeah, they built one not too far from where I live here in Salt Lake.

Quite the opposite.
Gotta say, DHL is the crappiest carrier out there now. Airborne Express was worse, but guess who absorbed them into their company? roll
UPS can be crap too, but more often than not, FedEx refuses to leave my stuff anywhere or with anyone but me.
If the carriers offer to only deliver to the recipient (they should have to provide valid ID), then Gratis really ought to be requesting that.
