Well, I decided to try to send a message to CS @ freepay, here is what I said

Well, considering that customer support and Jake are both telling us different things, I dont know who to believe...
For the time being, I am getting my hopes high on getting approved on TI yourfreeflatscreen and getting a flat panel monitor. My hopes of getting the ipod from freepay are an afterthought right now, because the more I think about it, the more pissed off I get.
The one thing I dont understand is why they cant get their story straight, and why they cant ship ipods (when they get them) to people who have been in processing longer.

meanwhile i've been processing since Feb 17th.. what gives.
We are waiting for our purchase order to replenish our stock at our Canadian fulfillment vendor to be approved by management. Once it is approved, we will place it and the order will be on its way to the warehouse.

Im getting tempted to go to TD (a bank I said I would never deal with again) to sign up for a bank account and a credit card to get the free ipod nano...
You need to transfer a checking account to TD from another bank and get approved for a credit card, and you get a free 1 gig nano, and if you just do the account transfer you get a 512 meg shuffle... doesnt seem like such a bad deal D
Seems a lot easier than getting 5 refs and worrying about all this crap

Well, I decided to send in a CS ticket last thursday asking if I was ever going to get my ipod, or if I should just go to buy one because they arent gonna send me one... here is the response I got

The thing with the TD offer is that the credit card has a $90/year service charge... do you actually have to activate the card, or just be approved for it?
This is also the first freebie site I did and completed, I got into this whole freebie scene cause I wanted an ipod, and hey... im still ipodless!

Don't be too chickien to do TRAINN - they rock! I got approved within 10 bus. days for flashipods, and my iPod was shipped shortly thereafter. The only problem is finding people to trade with is sorta hard because a lot of people have done flashipods and yourfreevideoipods already. But new people join this site and Anything4Free everyday. I got all my refs by trading in about 2 months (got scammed one time so actually did 6 trades). It's probably lots easier if you have friends willing to sign up (that's what I am hoping for with yourfreevideoipods). Ask anyone and they will tell you that TRAINN is one of the best sites out there.

I got the camera on ordermore4free.com and I got the money on Trainn yourfreeflatscreen and just some do it yourself points sites like ordercash and stuff, as well as doing some refs for cash for people (I am a lot more active at A4F than I am here... I got ripped off 5 times in a row here when I had 0 / 1 TR so I decided to stop trading around here because my TR is a lot higher at A4F D)
Trainn is amazing, their CS takes a bit longer to respond than some smaller sites, but they do their best to help you out, they ship gifts to canada, and they actuall send stuff out!
Also, freecomputeraddons is pretty good, I got an 80 gig hard drive from them for 2 refs, and I am starting to work on the site again... you can have 3 accounts, so you can be your own ref twice D
I really do recommend you start a Trainn site... its an awesome network!

Now waiting at 6 days for a response to my PM why they cant tell us whats up with the ipods (re Jakes telling us that the shipment will be at the canadian distribution center over a month ago). I want to add to that message that I am planning on filing a complaint with the BBB because they suck!

I dont mean to be threatening, but waiting 4 and 1/2 months for a product makes me believe that I will never get it. Hopefully it wont be a week before my support ticket is read like the last one...

There should be proper venues for customers to resolve their issues with your company rather than just getting an automated response, which in turn makes the customer even more irate.
Please explain, in as much detail as you can muster, why an account status page that says 'this process usually takes 7-10 business days' is taking over 100 business days and counting to get my order information to a vendor who can deliver my Ipod Nano to me? Yes I counted all the business days from Feb 17th up until now, and that large discrepancy in your estimated '7-10 business days' and the actual number of days I have been waiting, warrants my frustration with Freepay.
You, as a respectable business organization, have a lot of explaining to do.

Freepay are waiting for example 1000 orders to buy. They buy in wholesale OK but they wait so long the model would be discontinued and they will be a new camera or new ipod or new any free product released. So moral of the story, they pay less because they buy alot, they pay less because they buy an decreasing technology product... And guess what you did honestly the sites, with the 5,10 or 20 referrals you struggle to do and they give you a tiny piece of product they paid nothing while making huge bunch of money out of honest internet users.
I'm really bored of waiting since april for my nano and since may for my cam.
And by the way the CS tickets answer are always the same for me too...

Well, My response came as well... it was another one of those automated bullshit responses about them being really busy and all, and it in ABSOLUTELY NO WAY answered / even reflected on what I said. I am going to try and get in touch with a human freepay rep, and if that fails, the complaint will be filed!

As I have mentioned before, it took me a little less than six weeks to receive my Ipod last summer. (From the time I signed up, to the time it arrived at my door.)
After highly suggesting the site to others, my mom completed it in Jan.
She was approved on March 18.
Today marks her FOURTH month of processing.
WTF? It isn't like Ipods are hard to find like 360's were. What is taking so long?

Yeah, it lasts until the end of August. But in order to get a nano you have to transfer your account AND sign up for the credit card.

BTW, I got my ipod on friday last week... just have been kinda busy so havent posted my update D
Anyhow, I got one of the old nanos, and after such a long wait, that just wasnt satisfactory. I went to the apple store and explained them my entire situation, they just gave me one of the new nanos, and it didnt cost me a penny. Now I have a nice new blue nano, and besides the fact that I wont do any more freepay, I can put this whole saga behind me!
Hopefully others will get new nanos, or just go to the nearest apple store, and try to switch it up!
