well if you want to be really technical

everything you can think of is the result of a cost

if your not being technical and thinking of it in economic terms then yes its free because you did not spend any money

Unless you do the eBay offer then it is technically free P

But really.... It isn't free if you can't do ebay...

technically its not because you have to have internet access

School, Library, AOL free trials and other ways. But internet doesn't count...

So are you saying that if someone gives you a car it's not free? You still have to pay for gas and everything? Technically it's not free. Wrong. The car was free, but actually using the car costs you.

libraries are funded by tax dollars, which you pay each year, or your parents do depending on your age.

Depending on my age (16) I don't have to pay for anything D

What would you do
If you were asked to give up your dreams for freedom
What would you do
If asked to make the ultimate sacrifice

Would you think about all them people
Who gave up everything they had.
Would you think about all them War Vets
And would you start to feel bad

Freedom isn't free
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill
Freedom isn't free
No, there's a hefty fuckin' fee.
And if you don't throw in your buck 'o five
Who will?

What would you do
If someone told you to fight for freedom.
Would you answer the call
Or run away like a little pussy
'Cause the only reason that you're here.
Is 'cause folks died for you in the past
So maybe now it's your turn
To die kicking some ass

Freedom isn't free
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill
Freedom isn't free
Now there's a have to hook'in fee
And if you don't throw in your buck 'o five
Who will?

You don't throw in your buck 'o five. Who will?
Oooh buck 'o five
Freedom costs a buck 'o five

it's only free if your time is worth nothing.

Nah this is right.. Because if your time was worth "something", then the time you spent would be something you gave of value to get your Ipod. Thus making it not free. Not saying i agree, but he said it right grammatically and I think that was the gist.

Yeah, he's right.

Are the iPods free? HEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCK NO!
They may be free as in, you don't have to pay for them with money
But you pay with all the time and effort you put in trying you get your 5 referrals.

Economically, they have the potential to be free.

Realistically, they do have a cost attached to them; that is, the opportunity cost of convincing five people to sign up for you, and the mental fatigue caused by freaking out for two months over your shipment (going from processing to STV and then STV to shipped). Some may fare better than others, hoho.

Myself, I didn't do so well. (I kind of promised drawings for people who signed up under me. Wee!)

If you go by the literal definition, which no one does unless they REALLY want to be right (read petty) roll, then no, it's not free. It cost me my time, and it cost the companies involved money.

However, if you extend that to mean, "free for you (or me, in this case)" and talk about monetary value then yes, it is free.

As for my time, it's not really a big deal because I got paid to harass friends and such (I did it from work D ).

Free = I sign up on FreeiPods.com and Order my iPod

Not Free = I sign up, use a credit card for an offer, refer some friends, THEN order an iPod.

Free = I signed up on freeipods.com

Still free = I sign up, complete ebay, get added to a conga list, order my ipod

Saying the ipod is free is like saying you get free money from working. It dosen't cost you anything but your time on this earth(which is very precious to employers)

the ipod is free... even if you paid for completing an offer, you still received the product you paid for (or I'd hope you did), in which case, completing an offer towards the ipod is still free. the ipod itself didn't cost you a thing. The Video Professor CD, or the Ink from MyInks might have cost something, but you're receiving a product for your money that is not the ipod. The ipod itself is still free.

RE FDD4rummer06

I did the ebay offer as well about 2.5-3 months ago and did get mine for "free." But most of the people here didn't do the ebay offer and I was replying in general as a person who did not do the ebay offer.

ItmPls,

I wasn't trying to mock you or anything, I was just stating my version of it.
