Jake: Official word on US Ipod Shipments?

Users have posted the replies from freepay regarding shipments within the last week

4-6 weeks until shipments from vendor

1 week until you get Ipods at warehouses (shipping shortly thereafter)

...and 2-4 days


Just wondering where we are at- that is a fairly major time differance. I have been processing for close to a month, and others longer. Both Premium, Nano, and regular Ipod users have reported similar delays. What is up, and what is the official word?

I am not really upset about the time delay, but the lack of information is frustrating to say the least.

Me too, I'm STV - Waiting on Product for ipods.freepay.com and I'm in the UK. When are the ipods going to be shipped?

We're waiting for our order to arrive at our fulfillment vendors in the US, Canada, Germany, and the UK.

I don't know why there are such delays and believe me, they frustrate me as well but all I can do is wait and ask a question once a day.

Same here. Here's my progression that began Feb. 3rd approved (Feb 4th) > processing > pending approval "glitch" > back ordered (March 8th). Now, my spring break starts March 18th, would I be naive to expect it by then at least? It's been well over a month...

ok, but still. It has been right at a month for me, and over two months for other users. Saying there are problems with vendors when apple has been overstocked at many national retailers just doesn't make sense.

Can we have a basic idea of when you will get the items in stock? 2+ months is already very discouraging, and no set time frame makes it even worse.

How long do we have to wait for a measly iPod Shuffle... I came back around to start doing these sites again, and I refuse to do FreePay after this. I received my digital camera in half the time this has been taking. That was many times the value of a Shuffle.

By the time they ship out shuffles, they will be in the $9.99 bin everywhere

I work in Dixons which is an electrical store in the UK, we had iPod videos in stock right through Christmas, although not nanos. We've now got hundreds of every model.

My point is there is no national shortage of iPods. Only free ipods, so lets not complain )

2+ months without shipments seem to indicate a problem to me (at least that is my perception) I would appreciate a realative timeframe other than soon, when we were hearing soon a month ago.

So it would appear there isn't a shipment delay, there's a freepay getting paid delay.

good idea, but with my luck I would end up with two black Ipods and a dog-torn/lost reciept.

hate to sound so emo, but my life seems to follow murphy's law like none other.

anyways, users have posted about a different problem- not supplies, but AOL paying... I read around, and it seems like this was resolved- so what is the status of the US Ipods!

is AOL music the ONLY advertiser that pays freepay?
I mean come on, why don't they dip in to some of that XBOX 360 money they have sitting around and use it to fulfill some of these smaller orders until the AOL music works out.
How many offers have been completed for XBOX 360? And obviously they haven't sent out too many XBOX 360s. Actually, it doesn't seem like they have shipped out much of anything for a while.

The last things that Jake shipped were on 3/6. If he's the only one shipping, NO your ipod hasn't shipped. You might have it in time for Christmas. Don't know what year.

yeah- one guy in the ipod section said he went shipped about a week ago. today he posted that he is now back in processing. lol- wow.
