Is anyone going green lately?

I have 4 friends that have completed offers, some over a week or two ago.... none of us have gotten credit.

Some of the offers were the Passport to Fun, Today's Escapes, Complete Home, etc.

What the hell's going on over there. This is starting to seem like a scam. Are all referral "greens" going to take 92 days?

I got like 7 greens last week and finished my digital camera site. They all were either instant or 1-2 day to credit.

I've been waiting a month for the Discover Gas Card to get approved. I can't imagine it should take this long.

My ref submitted a form about it last Wednesday and we haven't heard anything yet.

How often should we bother customer support about this?

I had a referral go green on my nanos site yesterday.

Also, I referred them yesterday.

I think the 'new' system is much much faster. I've talked to some of my friends and a lot did get almost instant offers... within a day. If that's why we have the 90 day limit ... I'm all for it.

... although the approval form still makes no sense to me.

Actually, it has to do with verifying that your credit card is valid, which is a big reason why a lot of offers credit the next business day once that 1$ pending charge goes through.

I'm doing a few offers today. Just went instant green on the Blockbuster Online offer using IE and turning the cookies on. Its worth a try.

Cookies are on by default for IE, so I know my referrals are good with that.

Just seems sleazy how some go right away, and others takes weeks...

I've been waiting on my true.com premiumipods credit for about 2 1/2 weeks now even though for others it's often instantaneous.

A friend completed an ipods ref for me friday morning and did the topik hair offer (which took 1 day back when i did it...) and he hasn't gone green yet, then my brother did the same offer yesterday and still nothing. Not that I'd expect that one to be green quite yet, but whatever... Seems like my last few are pretty sluggish, especially considering the luck I usually have with freepay.

I had 2 more referrals go green this morning. Both signed up and completed an offer on Friday or during the weekend.

I find it complete bullshit that Freepay labels all of their offers as instant and yet VERY few are. At least be honest and say they aren't. They should be with a 60 day time limit.

I've only got one referal now that is yellow, even though they already completed the offer and the offers item already shipped last week...

It's been over a week now... So they seem to be taking way too long at this point...

My offer said instant when I did it, and it took almost a week...

I'm confused as to what "instant" means at this point...

I think [i5569b6a327]something[/i5569b6a327] is going on. There was a day or so when I got simply no refs at all, and not a green in awhile.

I posted a message about this earlier, kind of "referring" it to jake, but the moderators on here locked my topic - and told me to direct it to him personally.

So, that is what I did - I PMed Jake - but got no reply yet.

My referral received credit for the Columbia House DVD Club offer yesterday. (iPods.FreePay, Canada)

Bobby

07-03-2006 10:33:50

Can you imagine if any of your referals go with the credit card offer?

I emailed support and got a very uncomforatble answer...

By my math, it can take up to or over 60 days for a credit card offer to go green. This is because the credit card company may take up to 30 days to get the person their card, THEN they have 30 days to make the purchase, THEN the credit card company needs to pay out to FreePay...

When I asked support about this they said it DOES take quite a while for a credit card offer to go green, and that was all they told me...

So you'ed better hope none of your referals try for the card, becaues unless they do so within the first 30 days, there's an extremely good chance that you will not get credit for it in time... And even if they do it within that 30 days there's still a chance it may take over 90 days to go green...

Since it's so much of a hassle, why don't you just do a cheaper, quicker offer? >_>

I did the k-mart card offer this morning via IE and it was instant. a referral did the blockbuster one last week via Safari and it was instant. I'm waiting on about 4 greens on my mac mini offer though. two of them supposedly signed up and did the offers before the new TOS so maybe the new allegedy instant credit wasn't in effect and therefore contributed to the slow greening? Once two more of my yellows go green I'm done with the mini and I've heard the last one is always the longest so maybe that has something to do with my problem. Two requested manual credit yesterday so I hope that gets me over the hump. and now i'm rambling...

psubill78

08-03-2006 07:31:33

It is absolute bullshit that there are tons of people waiting of "green" for days, weeks, months - and now all of a sudden they are "instant" (oh , yeah, and only instant for some)

i cry BS!!

09-03-2006 01:49:26

yeah jsut did the autovantage and membershipme.com (walmart giftcard) about 2 business days ago both on freepay sites. the autovantage was supposedly an instant. it didnt go green yet and walmart giftcard hasn't. it says on freepay site though 2-4 or 5-7 days i think

ill wait it out and cross my fingers.
