Blurred out order numbers

I've seen many people, while bragging about their received item post pics of freepay's shipped status. A lot of them/if not all will blur out their order number. Why? I wouldn't think the average user could look up an order number, and even if they could I wouldn't think that they'd find any sensitive information.

Anybody have a reason for me?

It's all up to you. It's just for security reasons. They could call the post office with ur order number and track down where it is headed and they could some how steal it from you.

i've always wondered that... any ideas?

I suppose you'd have to be hardcore desperate to try and find an order number delivering near you, and then stalking someones house to see if they leave it at the front door. Very improbable to say the least.

They used to use order number as reference for tracking.

Not anymore, at least not with any of my recent orders.

People do it because they don't want any reps from the free sites seeing the order number because they could be put on hold for many reasons such as walking people through. We have people who see these people doing this, so they decide that it's bad to show your number, so they block it out too.

People blur out their order number even when it has been shipped. Are you saying that Reps see that you've walked someone through, find your order number and the email address it's related to, and put on hold all subsequent accounts with the same email address?

That's actually a moot point. Since Jake was granted mod status, he has had access to email addresses registered, and logged IP addresses on the board.

So if he's gonna get you, he's gonna get you.
