Why would anyone do Freepays PS3?

I pulled this while over on anything4free. Sure makes me wonder

I don't want to come off rude but seriously why would anyone start Freepays PS3 site now. The PS3 is probably a year a way and time Freepay gets there hands on so called "bulk orders" will probably be six months after the US release. Looked what happened with the PSP and XBOX 360. Freepay is not going to change their business model just for us. It works for them so why would they. So my question is why start now. Those who finish the site a year from now will get the system the same time as those who finished it months ago. It just doesn't make any sense to start it now. Freepay is a good company but all your doing now by finishing the site is just letting Freepay make interest off your money. Your not going to get the PS3 any sooner.

Here's why I did it already
The Xbox360 retails for $400. Freepay is offering them for one offer + 8 referrals.

The PS3 currently has no pricing information however SCE Head Ken Kutaragi has already stated he thinks the PS3 is something people will be getting a second job just to pay for it. Analysts [=http//money.cnn.com/2006/01/11/commentary/game_over/column_gaming/]Analysts are predicting a $500 price tag for this item. Freepay is also offering these for one offer + 8 referrals.

If you complete it now and Sony announces the price to be $500+, there is a possibility that Freepay is going to increase the required number of referrals for those who have not yet finished the site. Then again, Freepay may not change this requirement if the cost/referral ratio is not significantly higher than that of other sites.

Despite all that, it's also nice to receive a present in the mail that you paid very little to receive.

Those are some good points RoBsTaMaCk. But last I heard there will probably going to be two different PS3 versions also just like Xbox 360. One full only regular ps3 game+movies and another for games+movies and the option of 1080P games+movies. Hopefully you'll get the good 1080P version. But if Freepay is having this much trouble with the 360 remotes its not likely you'll get the more expensive version of the PS3.

;) The 1080p games are actually just blown up versions of 720, so not a huge leap for the cost ban ;)

If Sony does a worldwide release and under produces the product then maybe Freepay will have trouble delivering. That wouldn't make it Freepay's fault.

Everyone is taking out their anger on Freepay. Maybe it's because Jake comes here and everyone knows he will read it. I don't get it.

You see, I'm completely different than a lot of people around here. I'm doing this for one reason. I want an Xbox 360 and I can't afford the damn thing. I'm not doing it so I can sell the thing on ebay. I gave one guy $10 to complete an offer. That's all I'll be out on this thing. I'm not paying for refs and I'm not selling myself so others can get refs. This isn't a part time job for me like it is for a lot of other people. I guess that's why everyone is so pissed off. It's all about making some easy money.

Freepay didn't set this up so we could make money. They set it up so they could make money. A lot of people have figured out how to manipulate this thing in a way that will make them money. I say good job to anyone who has done that. I also say play by Freepay's rules and they have made those quite clear.

Freepay will pay up or their gig will be over. As I have said before, they don't look to be going out of business any time soon.

And its easy to find refs when the site is newer. And it is good to get it out of the way.

all good things come to those who wait, wait, then wait some more. I have done 3 freepay sites this is all part of the process. From reports I have heard the PS3 is coming out in September. We probably wont see our babies until Feb-Mar (hopefully not). By then a couple kinks would have gotten worked out by the time we get ours. I finished the site last Dec. knowing that it will be a complete year b4 I get one from freepay.

One thing I might do is buy one at launch and sell the one I get later! Here to waiting....dont hold your breath people.

the earlier you do a site the easier it is to get refs
