this is bizarre.
i signed up for ancestry.com months ago, got credit for that. i did cancel it pretty fast. it took me a couple of months to finish my referrals. my order status is stv 10/15, but all of a sudden the "complete offer" section doesn't show my offer as being completed. it's back to saying "Now complete an offer! Participate in any one (1) of the offers below to be eligible to receive your free iPod!"
my account's not on hold though... has anyone else had this happen to them, and did your ipod ship anyway? i looked a few pages back in the forum but i didn't see anything addressing this issue.

Could be that a lot of people cancelled Ancestry quickly, leading Ancestry to get upset with Gratis for sending them crappy referrals. As a result, credit was taken away from people who cancelled quickly. That's just my theory on it, though.

umm that page always says Now complete an offer, regardless of whether you did it or not

epidemik's right. you should still have credit for the ancestry.com offer.

As long as you check your "Check Status" page and it says your offer is completed, you're fine. They always have a "Complete an offer!" page up, because they hope you freak out and do another offer, therefor they get the money from that one too.

i could've sworn it said something else before. although it did say [i17566f2983]something[/i17566f2983] about completing an offer i think. or no, it said something about getting referrals? i dunno.
and the ancestry.com banner with the checkmarks across it is gone, but that happened once before... i think ancestry.com might have withdrawn from the site for a while and then come back. maybe they withdrew again.
it doesn't say anywhere on the site that i completed my offer though... but i'm going to assume that since my order status still seems fine and my account's not on hold that everything's still ok.

the only thing that matters is what the Database thinks of your completed offer.. if you go to the Check Status page and it says you have to complete an offer, then it thinks you didn't.. Otherwise, just look at the status..
another way to check would be to use
ICFreePod[=http//icfreepod.drakier.com]ICFreePod and log into freeipods.. then open the XML file and look what it says under the freeipods section for OfferComplete=.. if you've completed 1 offer, it should say OfferComplete="1". That lets you know that the Gratis Database thinks you have completed your offer.
