I was wondering, I have an account setup and my brother wants to get an ipod too. If he sets up his account - not using me as a referral - just signing up through freeipods.com, uses a different address,and completes an offer on the same computer i did - will our accounts be put on hold? ? thanks

Most likely yeah.
If you haven't done it yet, don't do it.
In Gratis' Terms of Service, it states One registration per computer/shipping address.

If you use dial-up you dont have to worry as long as you use a different address... If you have broadband then you can use a proxy, or just go to the library or kinkos or something... If you have a laptop you could go some place that has WIFI access...

as long as it isn't suspicious then they son't look at same IP. When you use same address and same Ip then they start looking. All my friends signed-up at the same computer, but that was because we were all there at the time. They all have unique everything else so it's ok.
It's also no big deal to check your status on another computer that somebody elses uses for a Gratis site. It doesn't matter as long as it's unique people.

I don't know. When I signed up, two of my referrals came from a public computer lab that shared a DSL connection through NAT. They were two unique different persons, and I was put on hold because they thought it was fake. However, I explained the situation to them, and even offered to provide proof of existance of such place and people, and they had taken my status off hold. I'm waiting for my iPod to ship.
