I presented the idea a while ago, and was similarly ridiculed. However, when they keep making subtle changes to their website (November->January->February->March; removing remote & other options from description), it really makes you ponder the legitimacy of this deal.
I'm with h3x on this one, I'll believe it when I see it. Luckily, I didn't throw away too much money completing this one.

As someone who is brand new to this I'm actually getting a little nervous.
I have a buddy that has 2 items from FreePay so that gives me a little rest.
I'm very glad that I'm only out $10 on this thing. Of course I will have a lot of people laughing at me if this thing turns out to be a bust.
Having said that, I can't imagine this turning into a scam. It would destroy Freepay and they sure look to be pretty strong right now. I doubt they are ready for this project to crash and burn.

That's letting them off a bit too easy. It's Freepay's responsibility for including it in the description in the first place. If they had just listed it as "Premium Package" or something, it would have been out of their hands whether there was a remote in the package or not.
After reading through numerous pages of posts complaining about promises unfulfilled, this is actually the first time where I feel FreePay should have stepped up and honored their word. It's well documented that M$ messed up with their production, etc., etc. but this one warrants complaint.

I have to agree with you.
If everyone wants to be mad at someone then be mad at M$. They are the ones who didn't plan this release very well. They are the ones who decided to exclude the remote.
I would think everyone here would be glad to see Freepay be wise in their decision making. If they lose money on this then it all comes to and end.

It's not the fact that we have to buy the remotes, it's just the fact behind it that they did not tell us this and changed it without informing anyone. I could care less about the remote I just wanted to know. I just wish their communication was better regarding this situation, especially when I learned of the shortage of premium packages with the remote and wrote them initially in which they told me I would receive what was in the description - which at the time included the remote.

Wait, so now we're not even getting the product that was promised to us? Wow...this keeps getting worse. The remote is only $20 in stores...it's pretty sad if it doesn't ship out with our xbox 360's.
Oh well, I'll be happy to sell the xbox 360 for 400 bucks after I get it...by the time it comes PS3 is gonna be just around the corner...and I only really wanted the media center (remote) functionality...I could buy another remote but it's probably better to just take the money now.
I've gone through a lot of things with freepay, since before the ipod shortage where it took about this long to get those as well. They have always fairly compensated their customers to keep them happy (i.e...free games with gamesystems) until now if this is really the case.
I'll send the remote suggestion to my superiors and have them decide.
