What should we do if we're out of town Thanksgiving week?

Hey guys, I'm a 10/22 STV and going out of town on Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving. I'm not going to get back until Monday, the 29th. What do y'all think I should do if my ipod ships the week I'm gone. Could I call ahead and ask them to ship it the Monday I get back? Because if they ship it that week I'm sure they'll try and bring it to my address at least twice, but I won't be there.

Have any of you guys been out of town the week your ipod shipped?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

If you ship, call FedEx. Or is that to obvious?

i'm thinking there's probably a good chance i'll get shipped before my status actually changes to "shipped," so maybe i'll just call Fedex each day during Thanksgiving week to make sure they don't leave it on my doorstep or something.

Man, I sooo want to get my ipod this week so I can show it to everybody on the 25th.

My advice don't worry about it, you won't be getting it any time soon.

why do you say that? isn't the average "wait" to get your ipod about a month?.... next monday the 22nd will mean that i've been waiting a month. i think there's a good chance it'll ship within the next 2 weeks.

well, I'm a 10/13 STV and I'm not the only one who's not shipped yet.

However, getting shipped in the next 2 weeks doesn't seem like too unrealistic an idea.

are you worried about them leaving it? If not, i know for UPS you can leave a note on your door saying no signature is required and they will leave it. If you are worried about leaving it then I dont know

well, depending where he is and what the weather is like, i'm not sure i'd want to leave it outside for several days in the cold, if it's cold where he is. in addition, i'm not sure i'd leave a package sitting on my doorstep for days on end, either. It's asking for theft if you don't live in a great section of town

This is why I had mine get shipped to my work. Regardless if I'm at home or not, I know it's going to be safe and not left or some note left that I wasn't there to sign for it.

I just want to get it before next week when I have a few days off for Thanksgiving. Going to Mesquite, NV and want to take more than the 20 MP3s that will fit on my CF card inside my Pocket PC.

My g/f and I are going down for just the weekend. Last year, we did Vegas.. went to the see Puddle Of Mudd at the Joint at the HRH.

This year is just 3 days of doing nothing.
