freepay changed the specs for their cyberpower xplorer

it once said

liXplorer mid-tower case 420W w/window & LCD temperature display
li Black case w/silver face
li 12" Cold cathode neon light (blue)
li AMD ATHLON 64 3000+ w/ HyperTransport Technology
li 512 MB PC3200 400MHz DDR memory
li 80GB 7200 RPM ATA 100 hard drive
li NVIDIA Gefroce 6200 w/TurboCache supporting 256MB 16X PCI express video card
li CD-RW 52X32X52
li Internal 6-in-1 flash media reader/writer
li High definition on-board 7.1 audio
li Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition w/SP2

NOW it says...
li Xplorer mid-tower case 420W w/window & LCD temp display
li Black case w/silver face
li 12" Cold cathode neon light (blue)
li AMD ATHLON 64 3000+
li 512 MB DDR memory
li 80GB hard drive
li 52x max CD-RW drive
li Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition w/SP2

hmmmm what is up with that, but there's already a thread opne about the update on pcs and it'd be better for Jake for him to be answering on only 1 thread. wink

The lack of a mobo spec certainly gives CP room to do a switch with the comparable boards they offer, and the vid card spec is something that "might" be of concern, but the rest is probably just streamlining the text.

No, it's a configged system. You have to use the Cyberpower configurator to get the same results. Most of the components are the default choices, or ones of equal cost.

[quote6a004ce9a3="Iloveipods2"]as in you sent in a message asking which one, or as in you looked it up. freepay's page says "3000+" and you just put up

He might actually get the 3200+. CP will give you what's on hand, and if they no longer have 3000+s, that could happen.

Jake, we need a clear answer. please and thank you! wink

I'm not sure how clear it can be. I think CP has considerable wiggle-room when it comes to what they send you.

hmmm that's odd, because then if they send you the type with the one listed, they can justify by saying you got what was listed.

Yeah, you should [i801de5f9ed]at least[/i801de5f9ed] get what's listed on pcs.freepay. I wouldn't worry about that. Everything else is a nice surprise. )

i agree. but 3200 and 3000 processor makes a difference for things the programs I run.

plus the upgraded video card is a must, the normal one is outdated.

but it's more the processor speed i need to know about. can we just get an answer? ?

As for me, I'd get the CP either way. You're saying you [i7375ddee71]won't[/i7375ddee71] choose it if it's a 3000+?
