My gf finished freepay giftcards and was able to use it to get Best Buy gift certificates. I finished a week after her, and I CAN'T use it to get Best Buy gift certificates. I e-mailed giftcertificates.com support and this is what they said
[quote47197f9998]
Thank you for contacting GiftCertificates.com. Unfortunately, we show that Best Buy is not available for your SuperCertificate. On select SuperCertificate it is available which the Company that gives you the certificate they pay more to add different merchants[/color47197f9998]. We hope this answers your question. If you have any further questions, please contact us again.
[/quote47197f9998]
Guess freepay is paying less now, so all the new GCs will not be usable at Best Buy.

I didn't seem Amazon the other day, and then it was on there, now it's gone again. I have no idea how this company works, but that sucks about BB. I mean, I need $300 GC's to Boston Market like I need a new... Let's hope it comes back.

All that can be discerned from what they sent you is that FreePay reps are illiterate.
"On select SuperCertificate it is available which the Company that gives you the certificate they pay more to add different merchants."
What in God's name is he trying to say?

I thought maybe it was due to the fact that I'm tired, but after reading it 10 times I still have no idea what he was trying to convey.

First off, it was giftcertificates.com support, not freepay. I think they are saying that freepay has to pay different amounts depending on what stores they want to be available for us.
Since Best Buy is in high demand, it was probably cheaper for freepay to not include it as a choice.

well.. they gotta be worth something...
i haven't gotten mine yet (waiting on a stamps.com to green), but ask them how much more you (personally) would have to pay to get BB or how much worth of BB certs you could get with that super cert...
i was planning on using that cert to help pay for this
http//www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7481511&type=product&productCategoryId=cat01013&id=1125466651583
total rip off, freepay...

not a good thread for me about finish this site, im almost wish they had the paypal option (
That has to be a mistake on the part of GC.com.
I always select the Select SuperCertificates when I place orders so that you guys have access to the different stores such as Best Buy.
We aren't getting any cheaper....this mistake is not ours. I even looked over all of the spreadsheets over the past month and saw that the certificates ordered were Select SuperCertificates.
Contact me via PM and I'll look.

what increments can you get in certificates? like i want 290 in crutchfield gifcard and the rest in best buy, is that possible?
tylerc
01-02-2006 15:35:48
Uhh...I don't think so.
It seems like it's usually $25, $50, and in some cases $100. I know iTunes has $15 too, but I'm 99.9999% sure you can't get $290 in Crutchfield. Why would you only want $10 to Best Buy anyway?
Cow-Tipper
01-02-2006 15:53:01
becasue i plan on only spending 290 at crutchfeild (240 for sub, 50 for amp wiring kit and about 3 bucks for speaker wire)

Welll...good luck with that because you can't.

After a little more investigation, I think Giftcertificates.com has taken Best Buy and Amazon off of their site completely, regardless of who is paying. Because, even if you visit their site by just typing in the URL, they do not show these merchants as choices for your SuperCertificate. I am assuming that since I am visiting their site via their url, that they would show all the options, versus arriving at their site via the Freepay link, where they would only show Freepay options. If you search for BB or Amazon, they say that they do not offer these, and then they offer alternatives.

Maybe thier customer support lied to me, because they really didn't want to admint that they don't carry it anymore so they are blaming someone else.(Freepay in this case) Anyways I'm sending Jake the info. Thanks again Jake!

i've said this before, and i'll say it again.
those are gift certificates you can buy directly from them, not gift certificates you can buy using a super certificate. they're different lists

Silent,
While I am not arguing with your statement, I was implying something else. What I was saying, is that if they do not even list BB, or Amazon, on the list available for purchase to regular customers, then they probably do not offer them to Freepay. Reading what TimmyWangy received from GiftCertificates.com, it seems as though the list available to Freepay customers is more restricted than the general list. Therefore, if a merchant is not available on the general list, it is probably not on the Freepay list. In other words, they probably don't offer merchants to Freepay that they do not offer a regular customer. In addition, if you search their site, it specifically says they do not have Best Buy Gift Cards. I am still processing for GC.Freepay, but when I get my SuperCertificate, I will post a list of the available merchants.

no and that list always is changing
wait two weeks and they are back on there, then they are gone again.
It has nothing to do with freepay and everything to do with GC.com

whats the point in freepay paying 10 percent when you can't select it.. if you think about it gc.com is scamming us.. since you can't select best buy or any of the other ones they make 10 percent from the merchants on the list so thats 10 percent from freepay and 10 percent from the merchant.

Jake, what can I do to get BestBuy? I check it daily and it never changes. That is the only reason I did the site to begin with. Thanks for your help!
PM me on here and I will give you contact info for GC.com so that you can resolve this issue.
This is strange because we do pay for the Select merchants.
If they're not giving them to you, then I am going to be livid.
liliEDITlili
I just spoke with my sales rep and she told me that in order to see the merchants at which you can redeem your Select SuperCertificate, you have to go to their website and enter the serial number from your certificate. This will bring up the entire list of merchants.

Allright I went to giftcertificates.com and entered the giftcard# in my email from Freepay. Best Buy and Amazon.com are there! So it looks like if you want to redeem for one of those merchants you need enter your coupon code each time. I wish I had known that before I ordered a Staples GC. Thanks for your help Jake!

Ok just a note. My friend got his in today.
When he received it and clicked the link to supercertificates.com to redeeem it bestbuy was on the list.
When you first click the link you see a list of all the sites including bestbuy.com
however if you start looking around and return to A-C or electrnics, or ahything else bestbuy will be gone from the list. We searched for about 15 minutes and it was gone. Had to click te back button 100 times to get back to main page.
