But the worst part is, we have to listen to another month or 2 of wining.

Even worse is the 2 months of irony where people whine about the whiners. wink

Updates like these are done automatically through xbox live, not just for new systems. So I wouldn't consider it an upside.

Well, I actually own a Xbox 360. I ran out and bought one a month after launch through insider info.

There is a dry period of Xbox 360 games right now. In late February and March, there will be quite a few new games to be on the Xbox 360.

I'm not saying I hate my Xbox 360. I love it. It's just the Xbox 360 library will be bigger in the future.

Games coming February/March Ghost Recon 3 Advanced Warfighter (GRAW), Splinter Cell 4 Double Agent, Fight Night Round 3 (You better check out the videos for this game), Texas Hold'em (Free on Xbox Live Arcade), Street Fighter 2 Hyper Edition (Xbox Live Arcade), and much more.

I can't list them all, but I'm sure excited.

The dashboard update is a good thing. In the past, there was a problem with online play when you pressed the guide button to bring up your friends and music menu (Yes, I will soon use my Ipod Nano on my X360.) It generally froze in the online game lobbies. Now, this will make the system more stable.

You can get the Xbox Live updates through CD, too, if you don't have a broadband connection. You can download and burn them onto a CD and put it in your X360.

And hopefully they'll get the power problems fixed so most of the consoles won't have that problem. Now I know that more don't have the problem than do, but it'd be nice if they could add an update to that.

Power problems? What do you mean?

I never experienced ANY problems on my X360 aside from freezing (will be fixed with the update).

All you need to do is make sure your X360 is well ventiliated and not stacked up on another electronic or choked in the rug.

All the powerbrick rumor crap is what you hear from people who hate it.

No, I've actually heard it from a lot of people who own it. I've seen a lot complaining about it in Xbox fan sites and they say they own them.

JOSHBOX on here had a problem with the power too. There are problems with some of them.

Yeah, with some of them, but not to a huge degree.

A lot of these Xbox fan sites contain console trolls that usually just spew out the problems of the Xbox 360 to a degree because they have nothing better to do.

Mine is completely fine.

Yeah, I made sure to say that in my post up there when I typed it. P

I have had mine since release and it is well ventalated and has given me no problems other than the discussed freezing on certain games when entering the dashboard.

But both the display at the local Target and BestBuy are showing the red flashing error.

I would recomend EVERYONE get a ESP when they get theirs (why I'm keeping mine I got mine at BB w/ESP versus the freebie one Im getting from GF and FP)

I got one off Half (don't wanna talk about it licoughliDLFlicoughli ?) that was purchased on 12/22 and it had errors. (E74 and an error that told me to put my game in an Xbox 360... as if I had stuck it in a dvd player or something...) I sent it back for warranty repair and Xbox support was fuckin awesome! Overall time from when I called to when I had my replacement 360 was 4 days.
