I'm curious about this-

Can eFax be used to send in a W-9 to FreePay? I've never sent in a W-9 and never really used eFax, so I'm wondering if this could be a way to do it.

If you get a gift that's worth over a certain amount of money ($600 i think?) in the U.S. you have to report it as income. The W-9 form is to report to the government that you got a gift that is worth a lot to report it as income.

Kinda sucks that you have to reports gifts. What if you get something over $600 from a relative for Christmas? Would you have to report that?

If I get two gifts (each worth $300+), I don't have to report it right? Does this only apply to citizens?

Technically, yes.

But who the hell does that?

Also, wouldn't that be paying taxes twice? Once when it was purchased and the second time upon receiving it?

Why not just email it?

I am going to e-mail it, I thought my scanner wasn't working but it is.
