what's up with the one hour time limit in the offer... looks like a SCAM...

TristanD

10-11-2004 08:38:46

No, looks like they're trying to get people to do it faster. Just like those commercials where they're like, "Call within then next 15 minutes to get a free spoon!"

princessfrozen

10-11-2004 08:45:13

Don't think they're a scam.

hacktek

10-11-2004 08:58:36

and what happens if i do do the offer in an hour?

hacktek

10-11-2004 09:01:54

ok i registered on that shit and did the skilljam offer...now what? It doesn't say anything about credit anywhere =/

brywalker

10-11-2004 09:03:15

Think about it. If you don't get all 5 referrals in 1 hr, boned?

brywalker

10-11-2004 09:07:55

The time limit thing is fake.

It is done by cookies. If you clear your cookies you have 1 hr again. It is there it make it seem urgent.

hacktek

10-11-2004 09:12:36

And it doesn't mean you have an hour to get all 5, just do do your own...i think...someone confirm this site cause i did my offer and don't see anything saying i completed it =/

JAWheat411

10-11-2004 09:28:49

Yeah site seems a little goofy to me. Somewhere it says to complete an offer click the link and there will be a place to enter your e-mail address. Well I didn't see that for a good majority of the offers. I clicked on the spyware remover offer and there was nothing there but a download link. and the Skill Jamz site had nothing but a place to sign up for their service.

Relik

brywalker

10-11-2004 12:42:54

Honestly, it doesn't matter. There are offers that don't require a CC. I think that after you get all the offers, credit will show, there are actually emails that prove that you did offers and everything.

relik did...i also just sent an email to them and got an autoreply with some Q/A's...this one was on the bunch

I just completed an offer, is there anything else I need to do?

You would also need to email your friends; five of them need to join and each needs to complete an offer as well. Our system automatically generates a link to the redemption form and easy instructions for getting your reward.

That makes it clear that it doesn't matter if you do your offer before getting the 5 people! I like that they are working with Amazon...perhaps what they send is a gift certificate so maybe if there are no Pods you can order something else. That's just a theory though, the program is way too young to be drawing conclusions

Hello,

On our end, we receive completed offer reports from eHarmony when the
customer becomes a paying member.

A valid credit card is also required.

Is there a free trial period you're going through right now? Did you
offer up a credit card?
We've had many successful reports from eHarmony in the past, so there
doesn't appear to be any tracking issues.

Which offers have your friends completed?

Hi,

That's not indicated by your website. The text for the eHarmony offer states

eHarmony
eHarmony has more marriages per match than any online dating service.
Start the journey today by signing up for your Free Personality
Profile!

The usage of the word Free on the description implies that no
transaction will have to occur to get credit for this offer. I have
signed up for it as well as my friends under the impression that it
was indeed free. However, one friend did the SkillJam offer and I have
not received credit for his signup.

Hello,

We're sorry about any confusion. Our marketing partner controls the
offers and the suppliers select their requirements for offer
completion. There are many more offers from which to select.
Regarding Skill Jam, your account is credited once a valid deposit is
made. A credit card is required.

not alot of free or no CC options. I signed up for AOL trial. There's not charge for 50 days. 1st guy on my Conga is almost done and it only went up a few minutes ago.

The T&C of this site look pretty professional too, as opposed to some of them that I've read, these might actually be a legit site. Plus, the site is copyrighted 2003-2004, which suggests they've been around longer than the gratis craze.

?[/quote7c64ffc6e0]

I started a Conga and as I posted above, I think that this site is more legit than not. I think they just realized that they were going to have be more vigilant in their fraud and offer options.

They're only making $20 or so a signup, so they need one of two things a) capital or b) lots of signups who don't have 5 people sign up under them (or who act fraudulantly so they can be put on hold). They would prefer both, whether or not that's the case, is left to be seen.

Also, while I noted above that though this site has been copyrighted since 2003, this particular site has only been public for 24-48 hours. I'm sure that there is a work-in time period where they figure out when to load the new database of completions and award credits. Gratis used to take forever (literally days on "instant offers," but they have it figured out now.

l0th

11-11-2004 00:11:19

[quote9c5dc97e73="l0th"][quote9c5dc97e73]Yes, you do. princess' post yesterday talked about having to put money into the skilljam account before they would give you credit.[/quote9c5dc97e73]

Princess was talking about eHarmony. Does anyone know specifically about skilljam? How much money do you have to put in your account there to receive credit?[/quote9c5dc97e73]I put in $10 and was credited instantly. Didn't have to bet anything and used Paypal instead of a CC.

It's too bad that offer is not there now.

I wonder if it will show up for new users that will sign up in the first hour.

Skilljam sounds like it was a good one to do if you don't have a c.c.

I just got an email telling me I was credited for AOL for broadband. I signed up last night about 8CST.

actually you need a credit card (unless you already have a paypal account). This offer is instant credit when you put money (minimum $10) in your skilljam account (note that there is a $0.85 if you pay via paypal).

So, like doylnea I got an e-mail saying that I had completed an offer as soon as I put this money in the skilljam account, but the freesuperstuff website doesn't show anywhere that I have completed an offer.

Others who've tried it can keep us posted here I hope.

The credit shows on my account. Might take a bit of time to show up?

There is a script problem with some accounts. The check boxes that show completed offers is supposed to show next to the registered boxes. I emailed them about the problem with no reply.

I am wondering if it has to do with the fact that if you register after the fake time limit is up, it doesnt count. The referral link I followed gave me the times up screen, but still let me register, and doesn't show me the completed offer boxes.

Lost cause, I think.

I registered before time was up and still don't see these boxes.

Please keep us posted if you get an answer from them.

TO ALL HAVING NO COMPLETED COLUMN ON THEIR ACCOUNTS

I sent a fax to them with the screenshot of my screen, my email address and letting them know I'd like to have my completed column fixed.

Fax # 775-201-9450

I sent the fax during the day and by 6pm, I had email telling me it was fixed.

It seems to be the quickest way to get their attention.

That's cool. I've got 4 on my MP34free account. Just need one more to sign up. A couple are waiting for offer completions still.
