I spoke to Jake this afternoon and he said that he hasn't had the time to get on the forums. He's currently very busy (he doesn't just help us here you know?) and when he gets the time or the chance I'm sure he will be on here and answering questions.
You need to remember that he is not required to be here or come here, he does so if and when he gets the chance.
He told me that he/they were supposed to hear about the 360's last week, but it didn't happen. When they hear something you will hear something.

In October 2005 they had 20,000 customers and a $100,000 worth of products shipped. They're gaining a part of the market and I'm sure them getting their 360s out is gonna give em even more.

They probably just use the same form field for all their sites. Since some of their sites have different gifts you can select (like laptops/cameras/etc), the dropdown field shows more than one option. Since the xbox360 site only has one option, that's all you see in the dropdown )
They probably could have coded in an if/then type thing that would not show a dropdown if there is only one option, but then what fun would that be )

well then that just leaves the question. how many orders are there and how long it will take to obtain that many xboxs... i would rather see them send out at least bunches of 50 to 100... don't be angry with me for saying it, but why should the people who finished way back in May and June wait for people who finished in Dec. to get xboxs in stock... wouldn't it make more sense to make some progress?

1. If I can get them locally from numerous different resources(best buy, target, walmart, gamecrazy) Then there not that hard. Freepay should have a lot more pull then me. So your wrong in this case.
