I am trying to decide between the 2 laptops on the fdpc site. I already have a gaming desktop and laptop and am either gonna give it to my gf or sell it on ebay. It was going to be an easy decision when I read the specs because of the battery life of the celeron M over the sempron but I read in another post that someone recieved a v2000 and it had a sempron in it too. Any help / suggestions would be appreciated especailly from those that have recieved either laptop.

My bf got the gateway one with the celeron M and he loves it. It gets like 4 hours of battery life. Im jealous (

They don't have the Gateway one anymore, just the Compaq Presario V2000 and the Acer. I picked the v2000 because it looks better and it has the Celeron M.

The compaq doesnt really have a celeron M, and Acer are much more reliable than compaq

Really? What does it have then? I thought the 1.4 Celeron M was the lowest available on the Compaq site.

Dunno, we only have compaqs at my house (cuz my parents are retarded) and they never have broken. I think we have around 10 of them, a few of which are laptops. I'm using one they bought me in 2001, and its never had a problem.
