I had to cancel this offer during the trial...
Will freepay take away my credit when I'm in approval?

not if you were genuinely interested in this service when you signed up, but decided that it wasn't for you afterwards.

even though freepay says
Try eFax's Free 30-Day trial. Valid credit card required. You must stay on
past the 30 day trial and become a paying subscriber. If you cancel during
the trial, your credit will be removed.

Yes, you can do another offer if you choose to.
But $12 isn't that much to pay for a referral, so just let them bill you first to retain credit.
