Jake

I really like the laptops but i am looking for something basic. Would it be possible to add a laptop or two worth $500 for less refs and no W-9 form needed? Those laptops are great but i need a basic machine worth 500 and I would do the site in a heart beat. As for the W-9 thing, i had to report many free site items already and that's partly the reason why i don't want to do that lol So a $500 laptops with no W-9 would be perfect for many of us. 10 refs like the desktoppcs since it is the same value and you got yourself a customer D The 20 referral laptops are nice but right now i need a real basic machine, i would do freedesktoppc for one of the cheapier laptops but i already completed that site for a dell dimension 3000 last year.

Well, I'd say you are out of luck, because all FreePay sites have the same requirements for referrals (ie all items at laptops are 20, all iPods are 5, etc)

pcs.freepay have laptops for 10 refs I believe

He said he already did that.

Yes i did do that already but I don't understand why they don't have lower end laptops for $500 for 10 refs..... That would be quite nice. 20 ref models and 10 ref models. The 10 ref models could be $500 and $600. A $500 for a person like me would be ideal.

JJ[/quotec138c8f9d2]Custom order from a site, gratis wont put up a laptop just for you.

Yeah, you could do orderpcs4free or something.

Yeah. I had been waiting for FreePay to open a laptop site.. but once I considered the time and the bs I'd have to go through to get 20 refs, I just ended up buying a $499 laptop[=http//www1.us.dell.com/content/products/RBIredirect.aspx?rbi=GKiitGAbBa2SB+6V9bxpRyvwm4g6Tn36wTwLVrus+1Yk1iSYlI8tpShc0L6a76U+TIzMv9bvnid/acyVxTQtgQczsLU2rDirVnxNcQ8Sfuxk/gEwjiSN2tJi9XRfxvxJ6jZc9nFdcSLTz95bUkZxFA==]$499 laptop from Dell.

What BS? FreePay doesn't give you BS or anything like that, sure, you have to wait for a while, but at least you KNOW you will get your item.

For me, knowing I won't get screwed is worth the wait.

I think BS = gathering refs, going into approval, hoping to be approved, then waiting for shipping etc. And considering he got a laptop only worth 500, I think it's prolly worth it doing that lol...

20 referrals at say $20 = $400, eliminate the wait and hassle.. might be worth it for some people.

shit even if i got all the referalls for free i'd much rather pay 500-1000 than get 20 referrals, wait through approval, processing, stv, etc. and end up getting a laptop with no receipt...lol.

tylerc

19-12-2005 12:07:52

Why?

That doesn't make sense.

Airkat

19-12-2005 12:13:54

tyler why doesn't it? For some people, it's not worth the hassle. It's very simple.

tylerc

19-12-2005 12:22:42

Ok, it makes sense, but it's stupid.

Why wouldn't you be willing to wait a month to get a completely free $1000 laptop (the guy said 'even if I got all my referrals for free I would rather pay $500-1000 in the store')

Airkat

19-12-2005 12:29:15

its not stupid, some people dont wanna wait.

Gather referrals - 1-X weeks
Referrals go green 1-X weeks
Approval - probably 3-4 weeks
IF all goes well...
Shipping - 1 week or so...

Why go through the pain, if u want a laptop right away, then just go for it if u can afford it.

tylerc

19-12-2005 12:30:35

Aye, but there in is my problem-I don't have $1000 lying around.

And if I did, I would still be patient enough to wait.

how old are you? Get a real job...500-1000 dollars is enticing for getting exactly what you want without any hassle.

tylerc

Are you illiterate?

Read Age right below the IU symbol.

I had a job, but got laid off. I'm still looking for one, and even if I did have a job, I'd save the $1000, not spend it on a laptop.

VGM

19-12-2005 14:51:07

how much time do you spend getting 20 referrals? You could probably easily make more than what freepay gives you just sitting at a job during that time and socializing, instead of milking people for referrals.

tylerc

19-12-2005 15:31:09

Or, I could pay less than $200 in all (which I wouldn't have made in the time it took me to get referrals, at $6/hour it would have taken me 2 weeks of pay to get that much at my average hour per week rate), or it would have taken me 10 weeks to get the $1000. By the time I went through approval and everything, I would have my laptop probably a month before that from FreePay.

Airkat

19-12-2005 15:58:47

Well it comes down to different strokes for different folks. Some people are broke or cheap and would rather wait and diddle daddle.

I just like getting freebies, its not even the $$ issue. I HAVE stopped doing referral sites tho. Just not worth it.

P.S. 6/hour? WTF... my gf was making 13/hour outta HS

Subway, actually.

I'm not too proud to work for $6/hour, I'm a 17 year old junior in high school and that was my first job.

It's all good though, because I'm going to become a CPA and make $40,000+ right out of college.

I don't know of any Gratis site, short of the point based ones, that had different referral amounts needed. To do that would a redesign/recode of fl, that I don't see happening.

Like you, I did fdpc a long time ago, and was pissed that they then added laptops, but they went and added fl. 20 may be a lot, but it's doable, and I'm doing it.
