I like this offer... it credits almost instantly for me... it only took couple hours for my ipodshuffle... though I should have save this offer for other sites....

d3athtonic

07-01-2006 11:00:45

Credited in 24 hours. If you click on customer support at their main page and follow the cancellation procedure, you'll be set.

When I did that, I saw my repocar account listed there too. I cancelled both at the same time. Maybe Repocar and Poker Expert are actually under the same company?

Half of the paycom sites are scams anyways that offer no real benefit.

I also love how they try to sneak other offers in on the order page.

Yeah, my friend who had never done a site before was going to do Psychic Realm for me or something and I was like WAIT send me a screenshot.

I did the poker offer like a week ago - still have not been credited - Rhaposody said 2-3 days but was faster than the poker 'instant' offer.

EDIT After deciding Poker-X-pert wasn't for me I decided to terminate the service - they charged my credit card 39.95 anyway! - I just got off the phone with them and they credited me back the $ - but still haven't gotten credit! x

10-01-2006 09:34:41

wow, i just checked my credit card bill and not only did they charge me the $1 fee for the 7 day trial, but they also charged me the monthly rate of $39.95 on the same day. they charged me all of this the same day i signed up, let alone it's only been 4 days since i signed up.

you can bet i'm contacting them right now. i'll let ya know how things go.

anyone else with the same problem?

[b44d3523992]UPDATE[/b44d3523992]
i called up the opsbilling service that had sent me the original receipt. i told the lady the situation and she reversed the charge and went ahead and cancelled my subscription. so hopefully everything is finished with poker-x-pert. i created a virtual credit card number for this purchase so i shall be deleting it now. i should have set a $1 limit on it. that was my mistake.

i had just talk to my friend who signed up as a referral for me and he said his credit card company called him this morning telling him about a fishy charge to his card. it was the same thing, pokerexpert overbilling him. he had the charges reported as fraudulent as he didn't know what the name that showed up on the credit card bill pointed to a porn site (which is actually what the email says it will appear as but my friend wasn't aware).

so be careful when signing up and double check your credit card.

theman2005

10-01-2006 14:05:08

Paycom sites are like that. they will "accidentally" charge you. i've been charged two times by them for $40 each then my credit card company automatically put my credit card on hold. they then filed a fraud case on the charges and voila!, charges are now gone.

Poker Expert was the weirdest Paycom experience, i received a "goodbye" email the same minute i received my welcome email. i checked my account on the site and in fact, it said i wasn't a member anymore. I never was able to try the site at all; signed up, then immediately "told" goodbye.

Same exact thing happened to me. I lijustli got off the phone with them after looking at my credit card bill and seeing that additional (and fraudulent) charge. The woman credited it back to me, and even offered to cancel the subscription right then and there. Works for me, saves me a phone call next week, cause I'm not about to stay on with a service that uses such tactics to make money.

Same thing here. The also charged me for the repo car search service. I called and they said they would reverse the charges.

If they incorrectly charge you the day after you sign up for the trial and you got credited on freepay the day after you sign up for the trial, can you call to get the refund/cancel the service without freepay revoking your credit?

Shouldn't be a problem... As long as they don't refund your free trial $1 charge and you "tried" the site, then you paid and participated in the trial like you should have, so you should be legit. I called and got my credit back, which I believe was after I had already credited, and it hasn't been a problem for me (that i'm aware of anyway...).

zbalz

23-01-2006 10:58:27

Got credit in about 5 hours. Online member services was a plus.

They charged me 40 bucks, 2 days before the trial ended, but I got refunded in 1 business day.

imateapot

15-02-2006 20:58:41

Got credit really fast, but like others, I was also charged the 39.95 full membership fee as well as the $1 trial fee. It took 3 e-mails to customer service and nearly a month's wait (opposed to the 5-7 days) to get the refund in my account.

If you want a fast green, this is a good offer.... otherwise I'm not sure it's worth all the hassle.

fgr_admin

15-02-2006 22:02:03

I actually think that is something new they are doing. Probably from all the freebiests abusing the site. I bet they disappear soon.

hilaryfanatic09

20-02-2006 14:31:13

So is this good or are they scamming people? I'm about to sign up for this site, but at the beginning they all looked good towards the end everyones saying they got charged and such.

unknown uchiha

20-02-2006 16:01:25

It's a good offer. You just have to watch out for the stuff like "Click here for full access" or "By signing up and if this is checked (they check it for you) you get another 1 day trial to another site".

nytrate

21-02-2006 18:29:52

I know the problem you all are having.

Freepay says it's a 7 day trial (as does a graphic on the site)

but it's just another 24 hour trial like all those other Paycom sites.

it says it when you put billing info in, it says 1 day trial.

Y'all assumed it was a week and therefore did not uhm, end your service in time. <ahem>

petrie

22-02-2006 06:52:08

Yeah, they changed it. It used to be 7 days, now it's a one day trial.

I signed up for it back in January and had a 7 day trial but was charged $39.95 in addition to my $1 the day I signed up for the trial. I called and they refunded it immediately. It wasn't because I didn't cancel in time; it was because they were being shady/made a mistake.

Then, my friend signed up for it the other day, and now it's a $1 for 1 day deal. I need to remind him to check his statement and make sure they didn't overcharge him $40.

Akademikz

22-02-2006 07:52:56

I'm interested in trying the offer but after hearing that they just starting firing out $40 charges before you even get to try the service doesn't sound like fun to me..?

hilaryfanatic09

22-02-2006 13:04:02

Hey, i went ahead with the pokerexpert offer, and all has been well for me so far. Just keep in mind that it is a one day trial, and when you click on free trial it will take you to the sign up screen, and automatically set your account at 39.95. All you have to do is change it to $1 for one day, and you'll be fine. Credited in one day, and hopefully they havent charged my card at all.
