Gratis is shipping by Order Numbers.

I think, according to who is saying they shipped and the ones who didn't.

Ditto. My girlfriend's ipod did not ship yet. Her order number was way back compared to someone who shipped as well.

I'll bet it's by location. That's the only way it would make any sense now that all the ipods are coming from Apple. Fedex does things based on shippind deadlines, which don't exist in this case. It's based on what else they're delivering where. There have been a number of times when I have had two packages headed for my house, one from the next town, and one from California, which is accross the country for me. Both packages are fedex saver, which is supposed to take 4 days or so. Both packages get to my house at the same time, even though one was waiting at the fedex station nearest my house for 3 days.

They do this on larger scales too, when they ship nationally and internationally, and its all automated, according to an article I read somewhere, so its pretty much impossible to override unless apple were to specify "2-day shipping", for example, at the time the packages went out.

In any case, this probably means that all of our ipods are in the country and its just a matter of time till Fedex has a truck coming to your neighborhood, and everything in betwen, if you get my point. The ipods are simply hitch-hiking with other packages, so it takes a while.

Is there any way we can track or look on UPS to see if we've been shipped? Also, isn't it all done automatically? Why wouldn't they update the page if they have shipped?

I would have to bet that The tracking #'s would be automatically put into the system. mabye he takes the e-mail and presses a button but not much more so why would they not upgrade. If they did it manually they would not have all the errors that they did on the flatscreen site.
