If you've done a lot of sites and can't trade, it's a good way to get the items for a discount. Let's say you're doing freepsps.com, and you pay each ref. $20. That's a PSP for $100, instead of $250. That's my take on it, I guess.

The points made above are good. Plus, some people aren't genuinely interested in trial offers and would rather avoid them. Paying for refs is a good alternative.

usually what happens is i get paid to sign up then i use that money to get others to sign up for my sites. It's just easier (and it boosts your tr... +2 instead of just +1).
I paid $6.75 for my ipod.

Everyone likes money, it's harder to find someone who needs a green on a site you haven't done AND you need a green on a site they haven't done. Especially for us high TR's
