has anyone even been approved lately? I've been waiting at least 2 weeks for approval. I'm pretty sure i wont be getting mine anytime near the release date since im not even processing yet....but hopefully im wrong.

I will probably just end up trying to buy a 360 system at a local target or Toys 'R' Us or some place on the launch date then selling the one i get from freepay when it arrives.....(hopefully for more than its worth)

i would like to know as well but i doubt we will get a answer cause i dont think freepay would want to say something about shipping just in case something doesnt go as planned then people will get pissed

Same. I've been waiting AT LEAST a month. I guess I'll just have to buy one on release day.

I don't get why so many people think that XBOX 360's are going to be so scarce on the release date and that people are going to be able to sell them for so much more than they are worth. Do you honestly think a company like Microsoft would not be able to produce enough products to satisfy the demand? Tiny (in comparison to microsoft) companies like Nintendo of course have this problem and that is why the GCN/DS were so hard to get initially, but I really think Microsoft knows how to launch a product.

You're right, Microsoft does know how to launch a product. And by creating a temporary shortage before Christmas, it will increase the demand and they will sell more in the long run as a result of it. So in short, they create the shortage on purpose. They do it almost every year.

Its not a problem if there isn't enough XBOXs, its the point. You don't make your item the hot Christmas gift by having a ton of overstock. If you are smart and go early you'll be able to get one but I'd put money on them being tough as hell to get by Dec. 15. And a lot of other companies do it too. That way a month after Christmas people see it and buy it because they know it was hard to get. Thats why I'm sitting here with my Furby and Tickle Me Elmo...

Nothing sells an item like video of soccer moms pratically beating eachother to death trying to get a Christmas gift on the local news.

Any mirrors to videos of that?

Wolfeman

None that I know of but just keep you eye on the local news the release day. I'm sure they be some good mad dash footage and people getting trampled.

Back to the point, any set ship date? I hope its not like when the PSPs came out and people had to wait a long time...

anyone hear about when they will ship....or is gratis avoiding this question like the plague...i would take a $400 check instead...kindda like when freehandbags were 2+ months shipping on certain styles

Wolfeman

I understand why they don't want to say anything. If they say some people will get them on release date they'll get 20,000 emails asking if they are that person or if they say they are going to ship first week and can't, they get another 20,000 asking why not and when they'll ship.

Its a lose, lose situation. We get no info and Freepay seems like they are being dicks...

Yea, i understand, they dont want a whole bunch of complaining impatient customers saying,"you said release date,or 1st week".Totallyurl==http://=http:///url understandable.

both valid points...but they could at least let the people who are getting them know....but then those people would post on the boards and then .....yea that would suck...sorry total train of thought as i was typing

lol lol lol

Thats the catch-22. They let the first couple hundred know and then all of the sudden they are just bombarded with emails asking, "why didn't I make the 1st shipment" and more emails saying "I'm almost done, when will mine ship". They'd rather us just sit here and whine and then gloat when it ships )
