I'm terribly sorry guys, the Anapod i got was indeed a trial, when i actually got my ipod and hooked it up it asked me to activate. I was actually fooled into thinking it was the full version. Once again, sorry about this.

Man this has got to be the hardest program on the net to find. The trial is everywhere.
Dont tell me I will actually have to buy it. I mean it is a really nice program and all but $25 for less than a 1 meg software. Kind of expensive.

I thought you buy programs by usefulness not by the mb...

but i hear what your saying about how complicated could it be if its only less than 1mb, but on the same token if its that simple why don't u just code it.

we'll see. I don't have a pod yet so someone else will need to tell me if its demo or not. I'm assuming not.

"As far as I can tell this is useless, because the device activation hasn't been cracked. So you plug your iPod in and it complains that it hasn't been licensed, refusing to do anything."

The licensing crap appears when you actually hook the ipod on

I know which is why i was willing to send it out. it was posted in a place notorious for non-demo ;) stuff and was labeled as "full" so I can't test it. anyway I should have my ipod in a little while lihopefullyli and I'll report back then.

Ps. Anybody know how to make it not start up with computer (in program) i'm sure i could do it the other ways but.......

i said not that way... thorugh the menus of anapod

Anapod puts a shortcut to the Anapod Manager (aka what starts when Windows boots/logs in) in your Startup folder in the Start Menu. If you can't find it there, it's in the registry. Just go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and look for the key that points to an exe in the directory where you installed Anapod. Back up the key if you're not sure you want to be rid of it forever (right click and export to wherever you want to save it).

Anapod IMHO is completely worth the $25. You can install the full paid version on as many computers as you want, since licensing is attached to the iPod's unique hardware ID - not a serial number. When you pay, you get a "token" via email. Keep that email (I used Gmail so I can get the token wherever I am) or store the token in a text file on your iPod. Just plug in, paste in the token, and you've registered on that computer! I've used it on three different machines, so I know it works.

I'm sure someone will eventually come up with a keygen for Anapod, since it recognizes the iPod by its unique hardware ID - not by a serial number for the software. However, seriously, you can't spare $25 for an incredibly useful program for a $300 iPod you got for free? Registration also means you're entitled to lifetime updates to the software.

If you ever plan on getting a Mini as well, invest the extra $5 to get the universal edition, which is compatible with Minis and 4G iPods.

I'd be wary of a "cracked" version of Anapod. The software is fairly new, and the registration system seems to be pretty well thought out and secure. You don't want to try a cracked version that ends up fucking up your iPod before you have a chance to back up your music!

The trial version of Anapod will let you upload/download songs with your iPod, but you can only do one song at a time. It does, however, let you see all the various features and options. IMHO it was completely worth the $25. I just keep the token and the setup file on my iPod so I can hook in to any of my friends' computers without any issues.
