There seems to be a new trial on freepay where you pay $1 for a seven day trial and get a $25 walmart giftcard. seems like a good deal to me, just like completehome.

I completed it last night and so did 1 of my referrals. I got the email today which linked me to the order form for the giftcard. It said i have to be a member when the order is processed for me to actually receive the giftcard though, so i am wondering if they are going to wait until after the 7 day trail period to process the order, in which case i wont be receiving a giftcard.
Still no credit but it says 2-3 days so im not worried yet.

personally i use my Visa debit card. Thats what i have used to complete every offer since i first started doing free sites and i have never had a problem with it, so i dont see why this offer would be any different. I'm supposed to be able to use my card everywhere visa is accepted.

Sounds like a good offer. Would it be possible to just sign up for the trial and get credit and to not bother ordering the gift card? I was just wondering because I know it's free but I wouldn't really need it, I only want the offer credit. I was just wondering if they relied on each other and you had to complete both in order to receive credit. I plan on doing this offer but I better hurry before it disappears like Blockbuster and Real Rhapsody!

i highly doubt you have to order the gift card if you dont want to. I'm sure they would rather you didnt, it would save them money.

I did not get the card. They told me that I had to be a current member when the card is shipped, and they did not ship the card while I was a trial member...
However, it was 2-3 day credit for me.

pretty much, you can't get the free $25 walmart giftcard, why? simple. they will mail the form to you to fill out shortly, then you need to return it and have it in their hands BEFORE the 7th day... that's impossible! oh well, its a "quick" offer to complete
though, i still haven't got credit yet, i think its day 3 or 4 right now (

you should receive a confirmation email in about 24hrs... to cancel, meaning you didn't find the service to be useful to you liwink winkli, then you'll have to call that number mentioned on the signup form, by the confirmation email, or just log in and get the number. wink

I read on the site that you have to be a member for 2 months in order to get the card. So those looking to cancel right away arent in luck here. A better question is when is it going to credit? I have 2 freinds doing it, and no green yet.

I got credit in 3-4 days. You do need to be a member for a month in order to get the free gift card. When you call to cancel the program after you get credit, don't let them trick you into getting the gift card.
When I called, the lady was like, "So would you like the $25 Wal-mart gift card?" and I was like,.... "Uuuuh, sure". But what she was really asking was, "Would you like me to charge you 20 bucks so we can send out your free 25 dollar gift card". Then she rambled on for like 5 minutes so I decided to screw it and I ended up refusing the card. D

If you do the extra form for the card, it basically says, your going to join two more services, which you don't know about. Even if you cancel with the site you aware of when joining (in my case connections) you are also signing up to 20% percent and shopping essentials. which charged me $14.95 each. I called my bank account and they gave my the phone numbers and so i canceled with them and asked for a refund.
So...in closing..pay the $1, but dont go for the card!!

Has anybody been charged past the free trial for this offer? On the freepay site it says it costs 14.95 to stay on past the trial but i cant find price anywhere on the actual site. I figured paying 14.95 to get a $25 walmart giftcard is an ok deal.....im just hoping thats actually what im going to be charged and not something much more ridiculous like $114.95

I signed up on Wednesday and cancelled on Thursday and never got an email, but they did bill me the $1. Do you think I'll still get credit?

if yu don't have the email AND you cancelled that early....... you have a low chance, but since they DID bill you, you can argue that IF credit doesn't come through.

Yeah, if you read the bottom right pane it says that you are signing up for those when clicking around. Just make sure you jot down those cancellation numbers as well if you decide that you are not satisfied with their service.

By the time one of these sites tries to charge me again, there will be no money on the card. So they cancel my account, and, MAX, i lose 25$, but most of the money gets spent on other things. So, it's not 25$ to them.

true... but that would kinda mean "fraud" wouldn't it.... thought i read it somehwere..........
I certainly hope not. If it is, I'll just call them and cancel myself. But fraud not withstanding, if they charge my card before I call, I don't have to go through the hassle of trying to get a refund.
You should edit those posts, nimh. Sometimes if you post the wrong info people start taking your referrals away.
that is pretty smart tho. nimh I don't think that's fraud. IMO. especially if you make an effort to do it the right way. and as long as you had a genuine interest in the site....of course.

I mentined something wrong one day and Jake took my xbox referral away.
he actually warned me about saying the c-word. and told me that I "could have a referral taken away." so I appologized and changed my posts
an hour later I logged in and my referral was reversed from green to yellow. bumbed.
I wouldn't worry about it. I'm just saying it's possible.

Bah, well, I'm doing stuff I want to try out. DVDs and CDs and stuff. We'll see how it works out, and if I don't like it, I'll cancel it. Isn't that the point? A lot of them are "trials" for a reason. I'm not going to keep doing something I don't like for an iPod. And, as I said, if I like it, I'll keep using it. Simple as that. Someone can't seriously tell me there's something wrong with that.
Ugh an associate company of this offer company has pulled a couple of unauthorized charges on me...I called them and they agreed to recredit me but just beware.

that happened to me also! with the video professor by mail offer though... i signed up on through the shuffle site and it showed up on the psp site. i though maybe i had two windows open at the time and it was an accident on my part.... what did they say to you?

I got 4 emails from them and this is where you get signed up to the associate companies. they are" click here to claim your walmart card" type emails. mine were all in my junk folder.
