damn, i cant think of the name now, but there is this website where you can buy gift certificate credit cards for people online, and you can put like 20 bucks on it or something so they can use them anywhere. the name will come to me soon but.........
has anyone tried using one of them to sign up for a referal? Im thinking of just buying 8 people these things so i can get my TV lol

Yes, they do work just like any other credit card and your referrals do get credited. There is a processing fee of $2.95 per web certificate so I doubt you'd wanna get 8 seperate ones.

hell, 25 bucks for a 380 dollar TV. I would totally do it.

A friend of mine used a prepaid VISA from a mall. Its the same thing that you are talking about. It went through.
