Post the programs you use with your Ipod or those you've heard are good!
I got me
limlPod Winamp plugin to transfer music...it trasfers like a charm!
liPodPlayer(freeware) Play the music on your ipod on any computer without installing iTunes or anything whatsoever(it's a self working application that can be ran from the ipod itself).
liiTunes I don't transfer music with it, just use it to arrange songs(in case they need to) or change some of the ID Tag data.

If you're not dumb (like me), you'll get the universal edition of Anapod Explorer that supports Minis AND regular iPods for $30...

I thought since the iPod is a portable hard drive, that you can just plug it into your PC and have it be recognized as another drive? Then, you could just drap and drop files...no? shock

Well, how much modification does it take to get the iPod to be a regular hard drive? And you're saying the iRiver is a HD out of the box? shock

itunes, ipod agent (lets you add movies times, RSS feeds, weather and more), podplayer (able to get songs off ipod, and pla directly from ipod), iart2 (gets album art)

it is a HD out of the box, but the way the ipod is set up you have to use a program (like itunes) in order to add music to the ipod, if you just drag and drop it in, it will be on the ipod, but it wont be recongnized by the ipod, only by the computer you plug it into.

Ok, so hypothetically if I want to put a PowerPoint presentation on the iPod, I can do that out of the box and have it be read by a computer once I plug it into a USB/FireWire port?
