Hey so I got my ipod. One thing. it's charged but won't turn on , on its own. I got it on friday. Do you think if I took it to the apple store they'll give me a new one? Sigh..this sucks. I really don't know what's wrong with it.

Is the hold button on?
Press all the buttons a bunch of times, an Apple logo should appear after a while.
If not, then take it to the Apple store and say it was a gift.

I don't think he even has to say it's a gift. It should be in Apple's system that it shipped to him just last week.
My guess is it's the hold button... that seems to get people confused.

No, it's not the hold button. It's set to not on hold. It's so strange, when I plug it in with my AC adapter it turns on, but even with the firewire cable, it does not turn on anymore. And battery shows fully charged. I guess I'll talk to apple. I even did reset and restart a bunch of times. Thanks
