I changed from STV 9/1 to shipped last night (10/23) and have a tracking number... however, unlike the last bunch my weight is listed as 2.1lb and is coming from Sacramento, CA.
The reference number is also different-

on two separate lines... does anyone have any idea what vendor this would be? i know apple used to make the imacs at a plant in sacramento, but they stopped production lines there six months ago...

wtf...this is a gratis tracking number? very odd. wish i had shipped outta sacramento. i would have just drove an hour and picked it up that day.

this is the tracking number given to me by gratis so i know it's my ipod. sorry if it doesn't fit with your current version of "the gratis world", but as it changes every two weeks i thought i might give a heads up that may be changing again.

not quite up for giving out my zipcode (zipcode + referral number = tracking number), but if you enter either of those referral numbers into the fedex "track by referral" thing and your zipcode it comes up, just like when apple was shipping them with the part number in the reference field. hope this helps!

was just curious b/c my zip didn't come out and columbus in general didn't come up. and searched for sacremento zip and nothing came up.

Ignore your tracking number. Gratis screwed up a lot of tracking numbers in the last few days. It's probably not anything having to do with your iPod.
