I received my HP iPod on 9/23, and had recently noticed heavy bass and treble distortion on many songs, so I decided to call HP and see what they could do. They told me to send it back to them and they would take care of it. Now, one week later, I receive my new hPod from FedEx, and it works perfectly! Thank you HP!

Wow, you are very lucky. When I get my regular Apple iPod do I have to like do anything to get it to work with Windows XP, and what if my computer doesnt have USB 2.0 or Firewire, it is old. That would suck, but I could just get a PCI card I hope.

When you install the software, it should automatically format it for Windows. And the iPod WILL work with USB 1.1 (I've done it myself), it will just be hella slow. I'd recommend buying a FireWire card for your computer.

I think I will, you have a rough estimate on how much a FireWire card will cost in Canadian dollars?

Probably about $50 Canadian (they're usually $30 US).

Nice, I just need to wait for shipped now then once my buddy in Ohio gets it he has to forward it to me in Canada which will take another week, but once I see a tracking number towards his or my house I am going to be on Cloud 9, lol.

Thanks man, I'll order that soon so that I can transfer the songs faster. I don't feel like waiting ages for them to transfer to the iPod, lol.
