I wondered the same thing. I guess we'll have to see. As long as I get something I am cool. Free sh8t is tight.

it should be a regular ipod. i would guess that you get what you ordered, nobody has had theirs changed to a mini without asking. I'm .9 kg and I ordered a 20G. Packaging probably makes them the same weight, the ipods are only like an ounce different anyways.

20-10-2004 20:39:58

yea, but all the order's i saw in the past where 1.0kgs , maybe they left somthing out, like the starter poster or the earphones, please dont let it be the earphones!

Oldfashionedhussy

roxah

I think the people that say that theres where 1kg in the past week where lieing, I think the hp is heavier becase its a diffrent hardrive manufacturer, or it could just be the software, it is .1kg more )

aside from the model number and the hp log, they are the SAME! the harddrives are NOT different, and are even mac formatted when you recieve it.

You will be getting a regular, 20gig, Apple ipod. Those that have information stating 1kg might not have their packages in the US yet. Mine said 1kg prior to entering the US whereas once it was in Alaska it was weighed at .9kg.

hp's weight slighty more, if i remember correctly, because they have a poster to show idiots how to hook it up.

If anything, it's probably packaging.

You all are reading a bit too much into these things.

A difference in weight of 0.1 kg is 100 grams which is rougly about 3.5 ounces; earbuds don't weigh that much so if they didn't include them, you wouldn't see a significant weight reduction. My guess is they're either reporting the weight correctly now and weren't before, or that their was a packaging change.

And if the HP's are heavier because of the logo, then that's one heavy-ass logo. shock

They're coming from China, which means they are starved, hunger ridden iPods who have only eaten rice their entire lives. So of course they're gonna be lighter!

Guys, don't worry about the weight, Look at the reference # and you can easily tell what iPod you are getting.

Mine was 1.0 Kg when it left and now it says it's 0.9Kg.

I got the engraved Apple iPods, reference # P9282LL/A. If yours is M9282LL/A you're getting the Apple 20Gb not engraved.

End of story.
