FedEx direct delivery

I KNOW there was a post a while ago (ok, maybe a week or two ago) that talked about fedex being bitches with deliveries (i.e. someone has to be at the place, not letting people pick it up, etc.).

My question is this has anyone had an issue with putting the package on hold and then picking it up because they work 8-5?

I called FedEx and the woman obviously knew about all the packages being shipped from Apple and what the terms were, and she said I could place it on hold and pick it up after the first delivery attempt. However, I remember someone stating that they weren't allowed to do that (pick up the package). lishrugli

I'd believe the Fed Ex woman.

"Left at front door. No signature required - release waiver on file "

That makes me nervous. I never signed a release waiver. =o/
